According to initial information, the PhD student registered to have one supervisor, Prof. Dr. Do Tien Sam. Later, the PhD student submitted an application to add a second PhD supervisor, Dr. Vo Xuan Vinh. The school issued Decision No. 853/QD-XHNV on this issue.
Change of supervisor 1: Prof. Dr. Do Tien Sam to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Thi Hue (Reason: because Prof. Dr. Do Tien Sam fell ill and passed away during the supervision period), the school has issued decision No. 2422/QD-XHNV on this issue.

11. Summary of new results of the thesis:
- Provides an approach to an asymmetrical relationship between large and small countries that share a common border and have a history of binding relations with each other.
- Provides insight into the methods China uses in its relations with other small countries.
- A systematic and comprehensive research on China - Myanmar since Myanmar's political reform until now. Through analyzing the contents, the thesis clarifies the consequences of this relationship for Myanmar and the impacts on the region and Vietnam.
- In terms of theory, the Thesis contributes more theoretical basis for the analysis of bilateral relations, especially the relationship between big and small countries.
12. Practical application:
The thesis can be used as a useful reference for studying, researching and teaching about the relationship between China and Myanmar.

At the beginning, the PhD student registered to be supervised by Prof. Dr. Do Tien Sam, then the PhD student made an application to add a second supervisor for the doctoral thesis - Dr. Vo Xuan Vinh. The university has issued the decision No. 853/QD-XHNV related to this change.
The supervisor was changed from Prof. Dr. Due to Tien Sam to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phung Thi Hue (Reason: Prof. Dr. Do Tien Sam passed away due to illness during the instruction period), and the school has issued Decision No. 2422 / QD-XHNV about this change.
