American Sociological Association: “Formal training in sociology can be an important asset for entering a wide range of careers.”
The Faculty of Sociology was established in 1991 and is one of the first and largest faculties of Sociology in the country. The goal is to train human resources with high levels of Sociology expertise and the ability to apply it well in explaining, analyzing and solving social problems, with good moral qualities, strong political will and professional ethics, a sense of serving the Fatherland and the people, good health and social communication skills to meet the requirements of the industrialization and modernization of the country.

2. Training objectives
2.1 General objectives
Training human resources with broad knowledge of social issues, skills in analyzing events, social phenomena, human behavior, and the ability to advise on building social policies to meet the country's development needs.
2.2 Specific objectives
- Provide knowledge about sociology, new requirements for sociology;
- Develop skills in research, teaching and solving social problems, consulting on building social policies to meet the country's development needs;
- Bachelor of Sociology is trained with full professional ethics, personal ethics and social ethics to practice in State agencies, enterprises, social and political organizations, and organizations with foreign elements, contributing to building a rich, fair, democratic, integrated and civilized Vietnam;
