General introduction

Sejong Korean Language Center Hanoi (TTHNSJHN) is a unit under the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Vietnam National University, Hanoi), established under Decision No. 1816/QD/XHNV-TC dated September 21, 2011, on the basis of developing the Center for Korean Language and Korean Studies and the cooperation agreement between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Busan University of Foreign Studies (Korea). The Center is responsible for organizing short-term training courses, exams and granting international Korean language certificates (KPL), and other courses related to Korean language and culture for Vietnamese people.

With the combined strength of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - a training institution with a long tradition and leading in Vietnam in creating and disseminating knowledge in the fields of social sciences and humanities - and Busan University of Foreign Studies - one of the most prestigious universities in Korea in the field of Korean language teaching, Sejong Korean Language Center Hanoi is aiming for international standards in the field of Korean language and culture training.

Training activities

Sejong Korean Language Center Hanoi introduces to students the Korean language training program according to Korean national standards compiled by KSI. The training program includes 6 levels: ElementaryLevel I, Elementary II, Intermediate I, Intermediate II, Advanced I and Advanced IIAfter attending all levels of study at the center, students can use Korean fluently, be capable of working in organizations and businesses related to Korea or continue studying at famous universities in Korea.

Students will learn Korean quickly and effectively with the modern curriculum of Sejong Institute. Accordingly, Korean courses are all aimed at practical purposes, especially focusing on communication skills. After completing each level, students will receive a Certificate issued by the President of Busan University of Foreign Studies, Korea.

Students who achieve excellent academic results after each level will be awarded a scholarship of 50% of the tuition fee of the next course. If they graduate with excellent results, they will be awarded a scholarship by Busan University of Foreign Studies to continue studying at Busan University of Foreign Studies. With the course graduation certificate, students can work in organizations and businesses related to Korea in Vietnam or study abroad at universities in Korea.

Training courses include:

- Korean focus(100% Korean teachers).

The course consists of 6 levels, each level lasts 10 weeks (200 hours), 5 sessions per week, 4 hours per session, from 8:00 to 12:00.

Tuition: 5,500,000 VND

- Semi-intensive Korean(100% Korean teachers).

The course consists of 12 levels, each level lasts 10 weeks (90 hours), 3 sessions per week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday), each session is 3 hours, studying from 17:50 to 20:30.

- Korean mandate

Commissioned training according to schedules and levels, meeting the needs of administrative agencies, schools, businesses, etc., in areas such as Korean language and culture. Interested organizations and individuals, please contact the Center's Office.

- Korean language certificate for those applying for a visa to marry a Korean

Since March 2014, Sejong Korean Language Center has been designated by the Korean Ministry of Justice as one of 8 training facilities in Vietnam (1 of 127 training facilities in the world) authorized to train and grant certificates to those who need to apply for a visa to marry a Korean.

The center is currently offering courses in batches, lasting 16 weeks, 30 people/class, 3 sessions/week, tuition fee 3,000,000 VND. The teachers are Korean and Vietnamese with expertise and experience.

Cultural activities

Closely combine theory and practice in class and self-study at home in a systematic and methodical manner; focus on fun and engaging activities in class such as language games, drama, music, watching movies, etc.

Other activities

The center actively supports students in registering for scholarships and introduces students to participate in exchange programs or short-term training in Korea through the results of the annual Korean speaking contest. Through this, students have more opportunities to develop their Korean language skills.
