As one of the veteran teachers, the generation that opened the Han Nom major at the University of General Sciences, when sharing at the Anniversary Ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Thinh expressed his joy at the development of the major and the maturity of generations of lecturers and those doing Han Nom research today. He also hopes that in the future, the Han Nom Department will grow even stronger, and the number of students registering to study this major will increase even more. And after graduating from this school, students can participate in collecting, researching, translating, and spreading the thousands of years of cultural values of their ancestors hidden in the massive Han Nom treasure currently stored in Vietnam and many places around the world.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Thinh (former head of the Department of Han Nom) expressed his belief and expectation in the development of the industry with the spirit of "Han Nom Culture".
Dr. Dinh Thanh Hieu presented a bouquet of fresh flowers as a thank you to Mr. Nguyen Van Thinh and veteran teachers who have worked hard to foster the achievements of the Han Nom industry over the past 50 years. Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Nguyen Kim Son expressed his joy at returning to the Humanities, returning to the department where he had studied, taught and worked for many years. The Minister also congratulated the achievements that the Han Nom industry has achieved during the half-century of formation and development, and emphasized the "special" role of the special science - Han Nom industry. Because this is the industry that trains and researches the massive heritage of memories, the beautiful cultural values that have been forged for thousands of years by our ancestors, the cultural bridge between the past and the present. Therefore, there needs to be a strategic vision, an appropriate investment for the development of Han Nom industry, not only for the industry itself, not for the people working in this industry, but for the cause of building and developing the culture of the nation.

Also at the Ceremony, the Department of Han Nom, Faculty of Literature received a Certificate of Merit from the Director of Hanoi National University for its achievements in training and research.

On behalf of the school's alumni, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Tuan Cuong (Director of the Institute of Han Nom Studies) emotionally shared: Choosing to study and then work in the Han Nom field for me is like a "predestined relationship". At the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, we are not only taught valuable lessons, profound academic knowledge, experience, scientific research methods, but also a spirit of dedication, kindness and lessons about humanity. We are always proud to have been taught Han Nom knowledge, and to be inspired to deepen our thinking by generations of teachers at this school.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Tuan Cuong (former student of K44, currently Director of the Institute of Han Nom Studies) shared: generations of Han Nom students over the past half century have "sought teachers and learned from them", pursued their studies with a passion for classical knowledge to promote its value in contemporary society.
On the occasion of the Anniversary, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities also awarded 5 scholarships from the Talent Attraction Scholarship for basic science majors to students of K67 (just enrolled).
Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong awarded the Talent Attraction Scholarship to newly enrolled students of the 67th class of Han Nom major. This is the first academic year that Hanoi National University has applied this Scholarship to support and create conditions for the development of basic sciences.
The journey of the past 50 years is also a solid foundation for teachers and students of the Han Nom Department of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to continue on the path towards the future, achieving more success, affirming the leading position in training human resources in the Han Nom Department in the whole country.
