Opening of 2020 self-defense force training

Attending the opening ceremony, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities had Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector), MSc. Nguyen Van Thuy (Head of the Legal Inspection Department, Deputy Commander of the University's Military Command); the University of Natural Sciences had Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vu Hoang Linh (Party Committee Secretary, Rector, Deputy Commander) and Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh (Party Cell Secretary, Head of the Department of Politics and Student Affairs, Deputy Political Commissar). Along with that were nearly 60 members of 2 platoons of the local self-defense forces of the two schools.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Hoang Linh said that the 2020 training session took place in a very special context due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, hot summer weather conditions... However, comrade Vu Hoang Linh also emphasized that implementing the task of raising awareness of political tasks and military qualifications, and being ready to meet the requirements of the task is an important task. Comrade Vu Hoang Linh commented that with the core force of young cadres, the militia and self-defense platoons of the two schools will successfully complete the 2020 training course.

On behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan highly appreciated the organization and coordination of the militia forces of the two schools over the past years. Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan sent his best wishes to the militia and self-defense comrades and expressed his belief that the officers and soldiers will successfully complete the requirements of the training course, contributing to the common tasks of the two schools in 2020.

After the speeches of Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Hoang Linh and Professor, Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan, Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh, on behalf of the militia and self-defense platoon, disseminated to the militia soldiers the training program and plan for 2020. According to the plan approved by the Thanh Xuan District Military Command, the 2020 self-defense training session will take place from July 15 to July 23 with two contents: Politics and military. In terms of politics, the two militia and self-defense platoons will study and absorb the following contents: Some basic contents of the Law on Militia and Self-Defense Forces (amended) in 2019; the situation of national defense, security and protection of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam; The "peaceful evolution" strategy of hostile forces against the Vietnamese revolution...; In terms of military, the militia and self-defense force will be trained at the yard of the University of Natural Sciences with techniques and tactics such as basic postures and movements in combat; grenade throwing techniques, shooting practice in various positions; general knowledge of some types of explosives, some explosive devices; some types of enemy mines, how to overcome them... At the end of the training session, the self-defense forces of the two schools will participate in the Sports Festival organized by the Thanh Xuan District Military Command.
