Based on the actual organization of foreign language training at Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) and considering the proposal of the University of Foreign Languages, VNU in Official Dispatch No. 1004/DHNN-DT dated June 5, 2023 on adjusting foreign language teaching activities at VNU, VNU adjusts a number of contents on organizing foreign language training and determining foreign language output standards in university training programs as follows:
1.Organizing training in foreign language subjects and determining foreign language output standards for students of courses from QH-2021 and earlier: applying Instruction No.
297/HD-VNUFebruary 3, 2017 of the President of VNU (hereinafter referred to as Instruction 297).
2.Proof of foreign language proficiency for students from QH-2021 and earlier courses is determined by one of the following forms:
- Certificate/Certificate of foreign language proficiency as specified in Section 1 of Official Dispatch No.
4116/VNU-DTDecember 14, 2021 by the President of VNU.
- Certificate/Certificate of foreign language proficiency issued by the University of Foreign Languages, VNU, according to the regulations in Section 4.1 of Instruction 297 for students who complete the foreign language courses specified in Section 2.2.1 of Instruction 297.
3.Certificates used in determining foreign language output standards are recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training (from the date of licensing); VNU does not accept online exam certificates.
4. The above changes shall be applied from the date of signing this Official Dispatch.
