During the activities, students will be equipped with an overview of the school, listen to the dissemination of regulations and rules from the school's functional departments, as well as receive teachers and experts sharing about learning methods at university level, school psychology issues, and inspiration about the passion for exploring the treasure trove of knowledge and scientific research.
Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Thanh Nam – Vice Chairman of the University Council, Head of Training Department, sent his congratulations to 2,300 students who have surpassed tens of thousands of candidates nationwide to be admitted and become new students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities – the leading university in training and scientific research in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities nationwide. Mr. Bui Thanh Nam also wished the students a happy and successful experience during their 4 years of university.
Recalling the 80-year tradition of building from the University of General Sciences, 30 years of officially being named the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Thanh Nam hopes that the new students with their youth, enthusiasm and intelligence will contribute to fostering the rich tradition, affirming the position of the school domestically and internationally.
Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Thanh Nam expressed his belief and expectation that the new students of K69 will confidently break through to celebrate the 80th anniversary of tradition and the 30th anniversary of the School's founding in 2025.
On behalf of the University Board of Directors, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Principal) also shared with the new students of K69 information about "privileges" and opportunities that only students of Hanoi Humanities and Vietnam National University, Hanoi have. At the same time, she also expressed her belief that the new students will promote the spirit of self-study, self-reliance, and independence; make the most of all those opportunities to complete university with the highest results and continue to study at higher levels right at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
Vice Principal Dang Thi Thu Huong emphasized: There will be many difficulties and confusion in the coming journey. But all new students should consider teachers, fellow students, and friends in the faculty and school as relatives in the Hanoi Humanities House, to accompany, share, and support each other to achieve success.
Before attending the activities at the 8th floor Hall of Building E, all new students of K69 were able to visit the Traditional Room, listen to teachers share the main features of the school's rich tradition, achievements, outstanding scientists, teachers and martyrs who were former students and lecturers of the school who sacrificed for the cause of defending the Fatherland. Although the visit was not long, it left deep emotions in the students, which was the pride and honor of inheriting and continuing those heroic and glorious pages of history.

With a friendly, close and humorous conversation, teachers from the Training Department, the Department of Politics and Student Affairs shared the most basic and core information about the School, regulations, rules, rights and obligations of students, especially useful "secrets" to help students truly shine with the best version of themselves.
MSc. Pham Van Hue - Deputy Head of Training Department emphasized: "University is self-study, and knowing how to study correctly, practice enough, and study smartly will definitely help you succeed."
Dr. Dinh Tien Hieu shared a lot of specific information about the school's policies accompanying all students, especially the policies on rewards, scholarships to encourage learning, scientific research, and scholarships within and outside the budget.

Associate Professor Dr. Do Van Hung (Head of the Faculty of Information and Library) started the sharing session with the following questions: What do you understand about AI? What can AI do to support you? Will AI take away your career opportunities? How to use AI correctly, intelligently and effectively?... After more than 1 hour of sharing, interacting and exchanging, the speaker and students had answers to many of those interesting questions.
MSc. Tran Duc Hoa (Lecturer of the Faculty of Information and Library Science) shared: The University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU is the first and arguably the only university in Vietnam to be selected by Meta Group as an official partner to implement projects on digital capacity, capacity to use GEN AI (Generative AI) and VNU-USSH students are the first to benefit from the results of those projects.
A representative of the Center for Digital Library and Knowledge of VNU said that Humanities students will be able to access and search for research on famous websites such as ProQuest, Springer, iGPublishing, etc. completely free of charge through the provided link.

In the intimate, friendly and open atmosphere of the meeting, even though they came from different hometowns and had only met each other for a few hours, all the students became close and intimate as if they had known each other for a long time. No longer shy or hesitant, everyone joined in the common atmosphere, confidently discussing the issues they were wondering about as well as showing their understanding and love for their dream school - Hanoi University of Humanities and Social Sciences through exciting mini games, with many attractive and meaningful gifts.
The opening integration week was very warm, calm, full of humanity but also very exciting, vibrant, new, promising a new journey with many interesting and successful things for all new students of K69.
