Gathering nearly 50 prestigious universities in the 2023 Taiwan Higher Education Exhibition

The exhibition, organized by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU in collaboration with the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam on October 13, 2023, attracted thousands of parents, students, universities and businesses to attend.
The 2023 Taiwan Higher Education Exhibition attracted the participation of 44 leading universities in Taiwan (China) in the fields of: social sciences and humanities, foreign languages, pedagogy, culture and arts; natural sciences - engineering - technology; medicine - agriculture - forestry; economics - management. This is the largest number of universities participating in the exhibition ever. Here, Vietnamese students had many opportunities to find valuable scholarships to study abroad as well as refer to study experiences with international students.

Speaking at the opening of the exhibition, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, said that as a leading university in Vietnam, with the mission of leading in creating and disseminating knowledge, training high-quality human resources, VNU-USSH has established and expanded cooperation programs with many universities in Taiwan to enhance the exchange of lecturers and students, coordinate the organization of international seminars, conferences and scientific research.
The exhibition is a good opportunity for Vietnamese students who wish to study and work in Taiwan to learn, exchange and connect with universities to prepare for the necessary steps in the future." - Professor Hoang Anh Tuan emphasized.

Attending the exhibition, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Minh - Deputy Director of the Department of International Cooperation, Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam informed that every year, the Taiwan education management agency provides many long-term scholarships and Chinese language scholarships for Vietnamese students to study in Taiwan. Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Minh shared:“Hopefully through this exchange and cooperation, the two sides will continuously promote the Vietnam - Taiwan University education cooperation link.”.

Possessing an advanced, internationally-standardized education system, Taiwan offers international students excellent study opportunities with more competitive tuition fees than many other education systems in the same region, attracting a large number of Vietnamese students to study abroad.
According to Mr. Thach Thuy Ky - Chief Representative of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Vietnam, in 2022, there were 23,728 Vietnamese students studying in Taiwan, making Vietnam the country with the largest number of international students in Taiwan. "When studying in Taiwan, you can choose a program taught in Chinese or English, or study both languages ​​at the same time. Experience in Taiwan can help with career development, as well as contribute to the achievements of students in the future" - Mr. Thach Thuy Ky informed.
Within the framework of the exhibition, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU and a number of Vietnamese universities signed a memorandum of understanding with universities in Taiwan on cooperation in training, scientific research, student and lecturer exchange.
