In the current context, Knowledge is a key factor for the growth of organizations and countries. One of the conditions for organizations and countries to thrive in the digital age is to prioritize knowledge management, innovation and leading change to achieve common goals. The ICKM2024 conference provided a scientific platform for scholars, experts, leaders and individuals to engage in dialogue and share insights on the theoretical and practical aspects of knowledge management domestically and internationally.
ICKM2024 Conference Scene
The workshop gathered nearly 100 experts, researchers, lecturers, information science workers and related fields both domestically and internationally. Delegates came together to propose ideas, share experiences and provide recommendations on knowledge management. Thereby contributing to improving understanding as well as promoting practical activities, research and teaching of Information Management.
The conference selected 38 quality articles for publication in the proceedings. They are divided into three main parts: knowledge management in libraries and information centers; knowledge management in educational institutions; and knowledge management in agencies and enterprises. This is an important and quality reference document serving teaching, learning and research activities in the field of information and knowledge management.

Associate Professor, Dr. Do Van Hung, on behalf of the research team, presented the opening paper for the workshop with the topic "Application of generative artificial intelligence in libraries and response action strategies". The article focused on analyzing the information and technology context promoting innovation in information management activities, introducing artificial intelligence (AI) and its application in the field of library information, and at the same time proposing response strategies to use AI proactively and effectively, including proposals on training human resources with generative AI capacity.
Assoc.Prof.Dr. Ngo Thi Huyen, Head of the Faculty of Library and Information, presented a paper at the ICKM2024 Conference.
Associate Professor, Dr. Ngo Thi Huyen presented an overview of knowledge management in Vietnam through the presentation “Innovation in knowledge management in Vietnam”. The study shows that knowledge management innovation is not comprehensive in higher education institutions, hospitals and banks, and also identifies new motivations and directions in knowledge management in these organizations.

The workshop also had the participation of international experts and scientists from Singapore and Malaysia. International scientists shared practical experiences in knowledge management, human resource training and knowledge management policy development in developed and developing countries. Thereby, lessons were drawn for Vietnam.
The ICKM2024 conference once again affirmed the correctness and effectiveness of the One USSH cooperation strategy between the two universities of Social Sciences and Humanities. The two sides committed to continue implementing the ICKM conference in the following years, making the ICKM conference an annual international conference on Information Management and Information - Library in Vietnam.
