The workshop was organized to carry out the task of improving the quality of Philosophy training, implementing Resolution No. 20/TrH on implementing the Basic Scientific Research Project. The workshop aimed to acquire information, research results, exchange and summarize practical experiences related to issues of curriculum development, content and conditions for improving the quality of Philosophy training and teaching Philosophy at VNU and other universities and institutes.
Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan delivered the opening speech at the conference.
In his opening speech at the conference, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Anh Tuan emphasized the importance of philosophy as a useful means to help students develop their knowledge and capacity in professional activities, in order to serve society and develop the country. This requires philosophy teachers to treat this subject carefully, using all their abilities, enthusiasm and responsibility. At the same time, in the ever-changing situation of philosophy education at home and abroad, training units must always update their programs, teaching content, testing methods and assessment of learning outcomes to keep up with new changes. Through this conference, the Faculty of Philosophy hopes to find solutions to improve the quality of philosophy training for students in the industry, and more broadly, students in other industries.
Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Ngoc Lieu presented the paper "Some opinions on adjusting, developing and building the training program at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Social Sciences and Humanities at present"
The workshop was organized into 2 sessions with specific contents:
- Innovating teaching activities (Application of information technology in creating video lectures, Teaching via subject websites, etc.); building training programs according to output standards.
- Improve the quality of foreign language learning for students; career guidance for students; improve the quality of scientific research for students and postgraduates; experience in helping PhD students write scientific articles for international publication.
- Methods of testing and evaluating university level; university and graduate admissions.
- Specialized content associated with subjects/topics in undergraduate and postgraduate training programs.
In addition, the papers also mentioned subjects/topics in the training programs of all levels such as issues of Marxist-Leninist philosophy; socialism; economic philosophy, history of philosophy, Eastern and Western thought; logic, professional ethics, ecology, ethics in Marxist-Leninist research, history of aesthetics, religious studies, etc.
