The event was attended by Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU), leaders of functional departments; leaders, instructors from training units, along with many students and authors of research works.
Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Vice President Dang Thi Thu Huong shared: In recent years, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has focused on increasing investment in scientific research and innovation activities, including student scientific research. The University has implemented many policies, including a key investment policy for students' scientific works with products published in domestic and foreign journals. Accordingly, students with quality research works are not only rewarded and have bonus points added to their training points, but also receive investment from the University at a rate of 10 million/1 topic published domestically, 20 million/1 topic published internationally".
Through scientific research activities, students have been able to cultivate professional knowledge, practice thinking, scientific research methods, and many useful skills: teamwork, handling teamwork methods,
In the 2024-2025 school year, student scientific research attracted a large number of students to participate, nearly 1,000 students with nearly 550 projects, of which 27 projects were proposed for the second round of key consideration.
Scientific research works show that students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities not only have a passion for discovering new scientific knowledge, have a deep understanding of many fields, and a serious research spirit, but also have a firm grasp of scientific research methods, closely linking scientific research with contributing to solving practical problems: economic-cultural development, environmental protection, sustainable development, etc. Among the works participating in the University-level Student Scientific Conference for the 2024-2025 school year, there are a number of studies conducted and presented in English, demonstrating the ability to research and work with international documents, proficiency in foreign languages, and access to international research and publication.
The success of the 2024-2025 Student Scientific Research Conference is not only the number of awards honored, the research works will be invested in and continue to participate in higher scientific awards, but more importantly, it will continue to ignite and inspire scientific research for the young generation in the field of social sciences and humanities, cultivating knowledge and skills to help them confidently enter the labor market right after graduation.








At the end of the Conference, the School Board awarded certificates of merit and prizes to 20 projects that won first prizes; 53 projects that won second prizes, and 20 projects that won third prizes. The research projects were highly appreciated by the Council for their meticulousness, seriousness, scientificity, and high applicability.
In addition, the Organizing Committee awarded First, Second and Third prizes to groups with outstanding achievements in student scientific research: Faculty of Psychology (First prize), Faculty of International Studies (Second prize), Faculty of Oriental Studies and Political Science (Third prize).
On this occasion, the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities also honored 06 groups and individuals with outstanding works in the Green Torch Student Scientific Research Conference, to participate in the school-level Student Scientific Research Conference.
