2022 is also the year associated with the 100th anniversary of the founding of the newspaper Le Paria (The poor), the newspaper associated with the revolutionary career of leader Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh in his journey to find a way to save the country.
According to many research data, in 1922, leader Nguyen Ai Quoc and many international revolutionary activists established the Colonial Union and published the newspaper Le Paria (The Miserable) in France.

Le Paria newspaper made an important contribution to the dissemination of Marxism-Leninism in Indochina and the colonies, awakening the oppressed and exploited classes and was an important milestone in the national liberation movement in Vietnam and the French colonies.
Journalist Tran Kim Hoa (Director of the Vietnam Press Museum) said: “The newspaper Le Paria is an important milestone in the journalistic career of journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc. Therefore, it is also an important and indispensable newspaper when researching and learning about the Vietnamese revolutionary press as well as the revolutionary life of leader Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh”.
The exhibition took place at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities with more than 40 documents and artifacts related to Le Paria and leader Nguyen Ai Quoc, typically the "Call for participation in the Le Paria Newspaper Publishing Cooperation Association on February 10, 1922"; displaying 29 out of 38 published issues of Le Paria Newspaper, of which 26 issues (including the first and last issue) were collected from France.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong (Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Director of the Institute of Journalism and Communication) highly appreciated the significance of this exhibition on the occasion of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday: "With the special role and position of the newspaper Le Paria in the revolutionary life of leader Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh, this exhibition is not only an important activity to help students consolidate their knowledge of the history of Vietnam's revolutionary journalism but also an opportunity to enhance the ideal education for students of the School".
Student Pham Anh Van, K64 Journalism, said he was very excited about this exhibition: “We have learned about Le Paria newspaper in the History of Vietnamese and World Journalism course. But this time, we were able to directly see the original newspapers and read specific articles from Le Paria, giving us the opportunity to re-imagine our knowledge of the subject in a more concrete, intuitive and interesting way.”
It is known that in the coming time, the Institute of Journalism and Communication will continue to coordinate with the Vietnam Press Museum to organize many thematic exhibitions to introduce to students and the public the history of Vietnamese journalism and the contributions of journalism to the cause of building and defending the Fatherland.
The exhibition attracted the interest of many students in the school.
