Note: Students and trainees who wish to participate in the program should contact and send personal information to the Department of Cooperation and Development, University of Social Sciences and Humanities (Room 404, Building E, 336 Nguyen Trai, Thanh Xuan, Hanoi) before April 15, 2022. The Department will then compile the information and forward it to the partner school. Registered students and trainees will receive a direct registration link from the partner school via email.
The exchange program is open to undergraduate and graduate students and lasts for one semester or one academic year. Humboldt University (Berlin) does not have a minimum GPA requirement for applicants.
Winter semester start date: from 01/10/2022 to the end of February 2023. Final exams take place in the last 2 weeks of February 2023. Students will then have a semester break from the end of February 2023 to 31/3/2023.
Fields of study eligible for exchange: ALL EXCEPT Pharmacy, Global History (graduate level), Global Studies (graduate level).

Undergraduate students are allowed to register for courses in up to 02 faculties during the exchange period, in addition, they can register for foreign language courses and the Berlin Perspectives program (for more information, see the website).https://hic.hu-berlin.de/en/berlin-perspectives). Graduate students are only allowed to register for courses in one department. Many departments have courses in English for students to choose from.
Language requirements:
- German language certificate of at least B2 according to the European Framework of Reference for Languages (Candidates can submit certificates issued by Goethe-Zertifikat, DSH or TestDaF; or take a proficiency test and attend paid German language courses before joining the exchange program).
For students majoring in Languages, Literature, Humanities, English/American Studies: Undergraduate students need a minimum English certificate of B2, graduate students need a minimum English certificate of C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
Online registration period for candidates: from April 15, 2022 to May 31, 2022 (Candidates receive information and instructions for submitting applications directly from the partner school via personal email address).
Registration documents include:
1. German language certificate (Goethe-Zertifikat B2 or C1, DSH, TestDaF), or results of the online German C-Test or English language certificate (TOEFL, IELTS).
2. Letter of Motivation.
3. Academic transcript.
4. Learning agreement (optional).
