Establishment of the Department of Political Science

On June 24, 2011, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Principal of the School - signed the decision to establish the Faculty of Political Science on the basis of the Department of Political Science of the School.On the same day, the Rector also signed a decision to change the name of the Center for Research on Development of Ethnic Minorities - Mountainous Areas to the Center for Research on Development of Ethnic Minorities - Mountainous Areas and the Red River Basin under the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. Also on June 24, the Rector signed a decision to appoint Dr. Pham Thi Thu Giang, lecturer of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, to hold the position of Vice Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, with a term following the term of the Dean of the Faculty.
