#MESSAGE4DIGIGEN Final - MESSAGE FOR THE DIGITAL GENERATION: Creative, surprising and explosive

On the evening of January 16, 2022, the final round of the contest "#MESSAGE4DIGIGEN - MESSAGE FOR THE DIGITAL GENERATION" was successfully held with the participation of 170 teams and more than 400 contestants from 31 universities and high schools across the country.

Deputy Director of Hanoi National University Pham Bao Son delivered a welcome speech to the contest.

The contest #MESSAGE4 DIGIGEN - MESSAGE FOR THE DIGITAL GENERATION is an activity within the framework ofProject to Improve Digital Capacity for Studentsjointly implemented by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Meta Company (formerly Facebook). The project targets young people who are passionate, creative, and interested in digital technology, with the goal of building a safe, healthy, and positive digital environment. In addition to this competition, Meta is working closely with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in developing a Digital Competency Framework for students (this is the first complete digital competency framework in Vietnam - See hereHERE), the handbook on developing digital capacity for young people, the subject on digital capacity in the Information Management program, organizing scientific seminars on developing digital capacity, digital citizenship. The University of Social Sciences and Humanities and Meta are moving towards deeper cooperation in the field of developing digital capacity for young people in Vietnam.

The contest is organized by Vietnam National University, Hanoi, hosted by the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and implemented by the Digital Humanities Club (USSH Digital Me Club) and the affiliated Faculty of Information and Library. On November 15, 2021, the #MESSAGE4 DIGIGEN - MESSAGE FOR THE DIGITAL GENERATION contest was officially launched. With the contribution of advisors, accompanying experts, judges, sponsors, sponsors, prestigious partners and strong support from students in 3 regions of the country, the contest ended successfully after a journey of nearly 3 months and found a very worthy champion. The final night was recorded live and streamed online on social networking platforms. The contest has created a big buzz with more than 4,400 online views and nearly 1,000 comments and discussions supporting the contestants.

Principal Hoang Anh Tuan, Head of the Project Coordination Board, spoke at the competition.

Through this, the contest aims to bring students new experiences about the current digital transformation trend; disseminate knowledge to raise awareness about digital competencies, digital competency groups and the role of digital competencies for young people; equip students with essential skills to interact in a safe, positive and responsible digital environment.

In the end, the Champion position belonged to the BLACK BEES team - the hard-working black bees with the "seesaw" and the journey to find the balance between real life and virtual life. The two Runner-up positions belonged to S-CTI - talented leaders with the story of Social Networks or "losing social networks" and WE20 - girls with ambitions and a warning message about the importance of digital identity. The most favorite team of the audience belonged to the Hai Au Khong So Lo Au team.

After the journey to find the highest positions of the competition, there will be a period of time when the top 3 teams need to realize the plans they have built and convey, spread to the community the most meaningful and practical messages.

With extremely meaningful and humane messages, the contest#MESSAGE4DIGIGEN - MESSAGE FOR THE DIGITAL GENERATIONhas officially ended, but through the contest, we have had new experiences, discovered more meaningful and creative messages from students. The contest is an opportunity for young people to freely develop their abilities and pursue their passions, bringing positive messages to the digital community in the digital age.
