The activities of the Youth Union - Student Association of the School took place from the beginning of September 2014. Through the Union Branches - Associations, affiliated Clubs/Teams/Groups, the Youth Union - Student Association of the School coordinated with units in the school: guiding new students through admission procedures, the process of transferring Union activities, the registration procedure to join the Student Association, etc.

During the first week of political study of the school year, Comrade Tran Bach Hieu (Secretary of the School Youth Union) and Comrade Nguyen Thi Mai Lan (Deputy Secretary of the School Youth Union, President of the School Student Union) on behalf of the School Youth Union Standing Committee and the School Student Union Secretariat - introduced to new students about the Youth Union - Student Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, bringing a close approach to the movement of union members - students of the school's youth.

Also in September, after the school year officially started on September 8, 2014, the Youth Union - Student Association of the School launched a series of exciting activities and proceeded to organize the New Student Festival 2014 (taking place on September 27 and 28, 2014).

The Humanities Student Talent Search Contest 2014 - USSH's Got Talent within the framework of the 2014 New Student Festival is the lively highlight and the first highlight when the Preliminary Round takes place on September 16, 2014, the contest is for all students of the regular training courses of the University. This is a playground for new students to learn many skills, initially get acquainted with group activities in the University environment, thereby demonstrating their talents and abilities.

The Final Night of the Competition will be held during the 2014 Freshmen Festival (September 27, 2014).

The 2014 New Student Festival is a series of events from morning to night, taking place throughout two days, including the following events: "Students say no to domestic violence" Festival organized by the School Youth Union in coordination with the Central Youth Union; Exhibition and display of the best photo works of the 2014 "Humanities in me" contest; Discussion "Luggage for New Students"; Screening of the film "Living with history" and exchange with the film crew; Recruitment Day of Clubs/Teams/Groups under the School Youth Union - Student Association; Display of booths serving new students; Gala Night "USSH's Got Talent" - Finale of the 2014 Humanities Student Talent Search Contest; and "Green Humanities" Volunteer Festival.

The 2014 New Student Festival is the largest-ever welcoming program for new students organized by the Youth Union - Student Association of the University, promising many interesting and practical things for new students of the QH-2014-X course in particular, as well as students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in general.
