Innovation in social work in market economy conditions

The scientific workshop with the theme "Social work training in market conditions and international integration: Perspectives - models - solutions" chaired by the Faculty of Sociology was held on September 22. This is the third workshop within the framework of the scientific and technological cooperation project under the Protocol "Innovation of social work in market economy conditions and international integration (Research on the experience of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam)".Attending the workshop were Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Vice Principal of the School, scientists, social work experts inside and outside the school... The workshop aimed to identify innovative solutions for Vietnamese social work to achieve the goals of the Project on professional social work development. Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha (Head of the Project on Protocol No. 45/2010/HD - NDDT) reported at the workshop, stating: Expanding international relations in the field of social work to cooperate in training, research on policy institutions, on the network of social work organizations and staff, on human resource development, on the process of professionalizing social work... has become an important task today. Also in a subsequent report, Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Ha presented “Some solutions to innovate social work in Vietnam in the context of market economy and international integration” which are systemic solutions that the topic aims at: policy system, staff, human resource training activities and international cooperation. Prof. Dr. Dang Canh Khanh (Faculty of Social Work, Thang Long University) also presented some thoughts on innovating awareness of social work in the context of market economy. According to him, the basic goal of social work is to build and develop people, social work needs to actively contribute to ensuring human security and social security, social work with the treatment and prevention of social deviations, innovation of social work needs to strongly innovate the content and methods of operation... Some other reports focus on discussing social work models in specific fields: "Vietnam Association for the Promotion of Education develops social work activities" by Prof. Dr. Pham Tat Dong, "Trusted address" - an effective relief model for victims of domestic violence in rural areas by Prof. Dr. Le Thi Quy, or "Inclusive education model for people with disabilities - current situation and solutions" by authors Nguyen Dinh Toan and Nguyen Quoc Phuong. The project “Innovation of Social Work in the Conditions of Market Economy and International Integration (Research on Experiences of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and the Russian Federation)” has a duration of 2 years (2010-2011). Up to now, the project has implemented more than 50 topics/total of 60 topics to be implemented, many scientific discussions, workshops or domestic and international surveys have been conducted. Of which, the first workshop was held in July 2010, focusing on clarifying new theoretical and methodological issues of social work; the second workshop was an international scientific workshop held in July 2011, focusing on clarifying the current status of social work in the new period. This workshop focuses on clarifying new perspectives on social work philosophy in the innovation process, operational methods in the integration process, innovation in management awareness, current social work models... This is the third and final workshop within the framework of the topic.
