Exchange "Vietnamese posture"

In celebration of the 71st anniversary of the National Resistance Day on December 19 and the 73rd anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam People's Army on December 22, the Executive Committee of the Youth Union of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in collaboration with the University's Veterans Association and the "Forever 20" Fund organized an exchange program and art festival with the theme "Vietnam's Posture".

Attending the program were Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Party Committee Secretary, Vice Principal of the School), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Long (former Principal of the School), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pham Gia Lam (former Vice Principal of the School), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Van Hai (Chairman of the School's Veterans Association), Ms. Tran Hong Dung (Permanent Vice President of the Board of Management of the "Forever 20" Fund), Major General Dao Trong Hung (Former Director of the Ministry of Public Security's External Affairs Department, Deputy Head of the Southern Battlefield Support Staff Committee), Colonel Ngo Thanh Lam (representative of the Hanoi Veterans Association). In particular, the ceremony was also attended by members of the Hanoi Veterans Association, relatives of martyrs, collaborators of the "Forever 20" Fund and many students in the school.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim (Vice Principal of the School) shared: “Growing up in a family with a father and siblings in the army, I also experienced the very difficult but also proud years of the resistance war against America. I think that each of us is proud of that tradition, of the heroic history of the nation. Today's exchange is like a passing on of fire from predecessors to the youth union members of the School. Sessions like this will bring new vitality, new pride in the work, in the direction of activities of each of our units”.

The program brought to the audience songs selected from the musical treasure of the country's art over the past half century. These songs are not only a musical heritage but also marks and milestones for unforgettable revolutionary historical periods. In addition, the audience also listened to stories and genuine and emotional sharing from the children returning from the battlefield to have a clearer view of a heroic historical period of the nation.

He himself, when he was a student, did not have the opportunity to go to the battlefield to fight, but he greatly admired the students who were willing to put down their pens and go to the battlefield..For him, the sacrifice of the soldiersthatis a value that “no one - nothing can forget”.

Mr. Pham Ngoc Thanh - member of the City Veterans Association Hanoi was moved to share memories on the Truong Son trail during the resistance war against America to save the country. The teacher also expressedtheMy personal admiration for the great sacrifices of female soldiers during that period: “Although we were also soldiers, we saw that the sacrifices of our sisters were too great. There were times when they stood under the enemy's rain of bombs and bullets to lead each group of soldiers to safety. There were times when they were burning pillars, living signs on the fields of magnetic bombs and time-exploding bombs. Those sacrifices were so great that any soldier who looked at them had torespectful and moved”.
