Support boarding students to overcome flood consequences

During the recent heavy rains, the Me Tri dormitory area was flooded, causing difficulties for the lives of nearly 2,000 students in the dormitory. Water flooded the first floor corridor, even reaching the first floor beds of students, the first floor toilets could not be used, and electricity and water were cut off. According to statistics from the dormitory management board, 26 rooms on the first floor of blocks C1 and C2 were deeply flooded. In such conditions, with the support of the management board in many aspects, students in the dormitory united to help each other to overcome difficulties during the rainy and flooded days.

The two universities, University of Social Sciences and Humanities and University of Natural Sciences, supported 240 boxes of instant noodles for students in dormitories and encouraged them to feel secure and soon stabilize their lives to continue studying.

Previously, on the afternoon of November 4, 2008, Associate Professor Dr. Vu Duc Nghieu - Vice Principal - and representatives of the Department of Politics and Student Affairs of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities visited and decided to allocate the University's budget to provide emergency support to 173 boarding students in rooms on the first floor of C1 and C2 areas of Me Tri Dormitory with an amount of 100,000 VND each.
