There were 46 PhD students who successfully defended their theses and received their doctoral degrees this year. These PhD students belong to the following majors of the University: Dialectical Materialism and Historical Materialism, Modern and Contemporary Vietnamese History, Ancient and Medieval Vietnamese History, Modern and Contemporary World History, History of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Folklore, Vietnamese Literature, Literary Theory, North American Literature, Language Theory, Comparative Linguistics, Linguistics of Vietnamese Ethnic Minorities, Social Psychology, Sociology. Among them, there is 01 Chinese PhD student who received his doctorate in Language Theory.

Representing the school's leadership, Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Vice Principal of the school) delivered a congratulatory speech to the new PhDs.
The speech affirmed the goal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is to develop towards a research university, constantly improve the quality of training, research and expand international integration, aiming to be in the top 100 universities in Asia by 2030. With a tradition of 70 years of development, the University is proud to be home to a team of leading scientists, with prestigious scientific awards at home and abroad. To build its position with such outstanding achievements, there are important contributions from scientists and postgraduate students who have grown up from this school.

Associate Professor Dr. Pham Quang Minh also said that receiving a doctorate degree marks a successful journey of research and study, with very commendable personal efforts, but also opens a new path for new doctors. That is the stage when doctors need to delve deeper into their research directions, become more mature and grown-up in their careers, and develop their own abilities to continue making valuable contributions to the country's development.
The School's leadership is also committed to maintaining an open and creative academic environment and always opening the door to welcome PhDs back to the School with quality and effective scientific research cooperation projects.
