Comrade Nguyen Phu Trong, born in 1944, General Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam, after a period of illness, despite the devoted treatment of the Party, the State, a collective of professors, doctors, and leading medical experts, and the wholehearted care of his family, due to old age and serious illness, he passed away at 13:38 on July 19, 2024 at the 108 Central Military Hospital.
With 80 years of age and 57 years of Party membership, comrade Nguyen Phu Trong has made exceptionally outstanding contributions to the cause of the Party and the nation; is an outstanding leader, loyal to the country, serving the revolution and the country, for the happiness of the people; is an intellectual theorist, imbued with Ho Chi Minh's thought; a worthy successor to the career of the Party's predecessors so that "our country has never had the foundation, potential, position and international prestige as it does today".
