2. Objectives of the training program
2.1. General objectives
- Providing advanced knowledge of tourism science, issues of sustainable tourism development, culture in tourism management and business, tourism human resource management as well as knowledge of specialized issues such as travel management, tourism destination marketing.;
- Provide learners with tourism scientific research skills, state and business management skills, etc.;
to help students have comprehensive knowledge to be able to evaluate, analyze and participate in solving some problems arising in the field of tourism.
2.2. Specific objectives
Learning objectives:
- Provide basic knowledge of philosophy, basic foreign languages and specialized foreign languages for tourism;
- Providing basic knowledge to manage and develop jobs in the tourism sector such as: Scientific research methods in tourism, state management of tourism, applied statistics in tourism, tourism business development strategy, tourism management and business culture, tourism human resource management and sustainable tourism development; tourism consulting;
- Supplement, update and improve knowledge about tourism; enhance interdisciplinary knowledge in tourism; have in-depth knowledge in a tourism field such as tourism culture, tourism geography, tourism economics, travel, hotels, events ... as well as improve skills in applying knowledge into professional practice; have the ability to work independently, think creatively and have the ability to detect and solve tourism problems.
Skill Objectives:
- Provide management and operational skills and skills to implement specific tasks in the tourism industry;
- Provide research, statistics and strategic planning skills in the tourism sector.
About moral qualities
- The training program aims to help learners practice and develop personal ethics, professional ethics and social ethics, including: honesty, seriousness, respect for others and personal self-esteem, open-mindedness and a sense of improvement, responsibility in work, proactiveness, independence and creativity, responsibility to the community, compliance with the law and knowing how to protect the truth, supporting innovation and progress.
3. Admission information
3.1. Admission form
- Entrance exam with the following subjects:
+ Basic exam:Overview of Vietnamese Culture
+ Basic exam:Tourism education facility
+ Foreign Language: Choose 1 of 5 languages: English, Russian, French, German, Chinese.
3.2. Admission objects
- About the degree
+ Group 1: have a university degree in the right major (Tourism and Travel Services Management), or Tourism (for training courses from 2012 and earlier), or suitable majors including: Hotel Management, Restaurant Management and Food Services;
+ Group 2: have a degree in a field close to Tourism and Travel Services Management, including: Vietnamese Studies, Management Science, Cultural Management, Business Administration;
+ Group 3: have a university degree in another major.
- About work experience
+ Group 1: can take the exam right after graduating from university;
+ Group 2: must have at least 01 year of experience working in a professional field suitable for the major registered for the exam (calculated from the date of signing the Decision on recognition of university graduation to the exam date),learned additional knowledgeto have a qualification equivalent to a university degree in Tourism and Travel Services Management;
+ Group 3: have at least 03 years of continuous work in the tourism sector (from the date of signing the Decision on university graduation recognition to the exam date)learned additional knowledgeto have a qualification equivalent to a university degree in Tourism and Travel Services Management.
