The thesis has clarified the factors affecting the Vietnam - Russian Federation relationship and the current status of the Vietnam - Russian Federation relationship before 1991; clarified the Party's policy and the process of the Party's direction in implementing the relationship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation from 1991 to 2005 through two periods: 1991 - 1995 and 1996 - 2005 in the main areas: political relations, security, defense, economic relations, trade, cultural relations, education and science and technology; from the practice of the Party's leadership in implementing the relationship between Vietnam and the Russian Federation from 1991 to 2005, the thesis has made some comments on the advantages, limitations and causes, and at the same time drawn some key experiences that have reference value for the present.

11. Practical application:
The observations and experiences drawn from the historical process of the Party's leadership in implementing Vietnam's relations with the Russian Federation from 1991 to 2005 are important arguments and evidence, contributing to promoting the increasingly effective development of Vietnam - Russia relations, worthy of a comprehensive strategic partnership; at the same time, they have good reference value for other bilateral relations of Vietnam in the current period of promoting industrialization, modernization and international integration.
In addition, the research results of the thesis can also be used as reference materials in research, study and teaching the history of foreign affairs and diplomacy of the Party and State of Vietnam in general and the history of Vietnam - Russian Federation relations in particular, contributing to educating the tradition of international solidarity, fostering the sense of self-reliance, strengthening the belief in the leadership of the Party and in the inevitable victory of the Vietnamese Revolution for the young generation.
