Center for Education Quality Assurance

General introduction

The Center for Educational Quality Assurance was established in August 2006 under Decision No. 1784/QD-XHNV-TC dated August 21, 2006 of the President of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The University is the first member of the Vietnam National University, Hanoi to have a specialized unit for quality assurance.

Function

The Center has the function of advising the School Board in developing an internal quality assurance system to ensure the quality of operations, gradually forming a quality culture in educational institutions; deploying and implementing policies and legal documents of the State and the Ministry of Education and Training, Hanoi National University on quality assurance of higher education.

Mission

• Prepare work plan for school year and submit to Principal for approval.
• Develop and submit to the Principal for promulgation regulations on quality assurance work in schools and guide and organize the implementation of those regulations.
• Advise and develop short-term, medium-term and long-term plans for the Principal on quality assurance; develop and implement an internal quality assurance system.
• Develop a plan to evaluate the quality and accredit the quality of training programs according to standards recognized by the Ministry of Education and Training.
• Preside and coordinate with relevant units to implement quality assessment activities through feedback from stakeholders.
• Take the lead in coordinating the development and periodic updating of the internal quality assurance information system to serve the management and evaluation of the school's operational quality.
• Focal point for guiding and coordinating the implementation of internal and external quality benchmarking activities to improve quality.
• Focal point for monitoring and coordinating the implementation of training activities, fostering, capacity building, and developing a quality assurance network in the School.
• Focal point for monitoring and coordinating the implementation of projects and plans to continuously improve the quality of all aspects of activities in the School.
