1. General introduction
The Center for Research and Promotion of Cultural Resources (CSPCR) is a research, training, consulting and critical organization in the cultural fields under the University of Social Sciences and Humanities - Vietnam National University, Hanoi, established under Decision No. 2008/XHNV-QD dated July 18, 2018 of the President of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities; Certificate of Registration of Science and Technology Activities No. A-22/2020/DK-KH&CN dated September 11, 2020 of the Department of Science and Technology of Hanoi City.
2. Functions and tasks
The Center has the following basic functions and tasks:
- Research to evaluate values, establish scientific records; research to evaluate cultural resources and apply research results into practice to exploit and develop cultural resources to serve cultural, economic and social development;
- Training, coaching, transferring research results in the fields of culture, cultural heritage, conservation, exploitation, and development of cultural resources;
- Organize scientific activities, seminars, conferences;
- Consulting on solutions for planning, restoration, renovation and exploitation of relics;
- Consulting on solutions for displaying, introducing and promoting cultural heritage;
- Research and provide research solutions to establish scientific records to assess the value, preserve, restore and promote intangible cultural values.

4. Projects implemented
4.1. Research organization, building scientific records
Participate in compiling the Vietnam National Geographical Record;
Compiled the book Cam Pha - Land and People;
Reference book "Vinh Bao Village Covenant";
Research and translate the book "Vinh Bao Land Register";
Building a scientific dossier of Mui Doi - Hon Doi (Hon Dau) relic and scenic spot, Van Ninh district, Khanh Hoa province (2024).
Reference book "Son Tay - convergence and spread of culture of the Doai region"
4.2. Organizing seminars and conferences
Scientific conference: 100 years of traditional Vietnamese educational and examination heritage in retrospect.
Scientific Workshop on Nhi - Tam Thanh Scenic Relics, To Thi Mountain, Mac Dynasty Citadel "Cultural Heritage and Tourism Potential".
Scientific Workshop on Ancient Ninh Binh Pottery Craft: Traditional and Modern.
In coordination with Ha Long University, Quang Ninh Department of Science and Technology organized the scientific workshop "Location, role and value of Thien Long Uyen relic in the Bach Dang victory in 1288"
4.3. Consulting on solutions for restoration and embellishment of monuments
- Participate in consulting, designing and supervising the specialized project of Restoration and Rehabilitation of Ngoa Van Temple (Thuong Pagoda), Dong Trieu town, Quang Ninh.
- Consulting, design, and supervision of specialized projects for restoration and embellishment of Ho Thien pagoda's tower garden, Dong Trieu town, Quang Ninh.
4.4. Strategic planning and policy advice
- Develop a Code of Conduct in Quang Ninh province (adopted in 2022; https://dichvucong.quangninh.gov.vn/Default.aspx?tabid=121&ctl=ndetail&mid=511&nid=83444)
- Develop a project to manage, preserve and promote the value of historical relics and scenic spots in Hoanh Bo district (old) until 2025, with a vision to 2030;
- Develop a project to manage, preserve and promote the value of historical relics and scenic spots in Cam Pha city, until 2025, with a vision to 2030.
- Develop a project to organize and manage festivals in Quang Ninh province until 2025, with a vision to 2030.
- Develop a project to organize and manage festivals in Dong Trieu town until 2030, with a vision to 2040.
- Coordinate with the Institute of Agricultural Planning and Design to implement a sub-project under the topic "Research and propose solutions for sustainable tourism development in Cao Bang province associated with the UNESCO Global Geopark Non Nuoc Cao Bang (Geopark).
- Cooperate with the University of Forestry to implement the project "Research on scientific basis for building a strategy to develop a network of world biosphere reserves recognized by UNESCO in Vietnam".
