The conference aims to evaluate the results of the school's quality assurance and accreditation work in 2023; propose plans and solutions to improve the quality of educational facilities and training programs in 2024 and beyond.
The conference was attended by Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Thanh Nam - Vice Chairman of the School Council; Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal of the school; Dr. Pham Huy Cuong - Director of the Center for Training Quality Assurance; together with representatives of the Board of Directors, Training Assistants and Quality Assurance Assistants of the faculties, institutes and departments under the school; representatives of leaders and specialists of the Training Department, Quality Assurance Center; representatives of leaders and Quality Assurance Assistants of the functional departments/centers under the School Board.
On behalf of VNU, there was the participation of Dr. Bui Vu Anh - Deputy Director of the Institute of Training Quality Assurance.

Speaking at the opening of the Conference, Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal of the school emphasized that quality culture is a highlight in the activities of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU and quality improvement is identified as the school's key task in 2024.
Over the years, the school has organized many quality assurance and program accreditation activities to improve training quality in a sustainable manner.
Accordingly, since 2016, the school has organized self-assessment activities for training programs. In 2017, two undergraduate training programs, Vietnamese Studies and Psychology, were accredited by the Ministry of Education and Training.
In 2022, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities had 08 training programs accredited according to AUN standards and the Ministry of Education and Training, and it is expected that by the end of 2024, the school will have 100% of its undergraduate training programs accredited for quality, being the pioneer university in VNU in quality accreditation activities.
The school's quality assurance work has been carried out in depth with a system of documents and regulations on Quality Assurance policies, an internal quality assurance information system and educational quality benchmarking, regulations on community service activities, connecting scholars, connecting employers, etc.
Dr. Huy Cuong - Director of the Center for Training Quality Assurance, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU
From the sketches of the overall picture of training quality assurance activities at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in 2023, Dr. Huy Cuong - Director of the Center for Training Quality Assurance, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, made recommendations for improvement to faculties/institutes/departments in training quality assurance activities. Accordingly, training units need to develop indicators for connecting cooperation between units with employers, domestic and foreign experts; develop indicators for connecting with students; consider developing indicators for serving the community in the unit, gradually assigning tasks to lecturers, researchers, and employees. Dr. Huy Cuong emphasized that units need to develop, implement and evaluate the results of implementing plans to improve the quality of training programs managed by the unit. Proactively organize/coordinate experience exchange activities to improve the capacity to develop course outlines, teaching methods, and assessment methods according to the Output Standards approach for lecturers in the unit.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Thanh Nam - Vice Chairman of the School Board, Head of Training Department emphasized that ensuring output quality to provide high-quality human resources for society is the school's consistent policy. Ensuring, maintaining and continuously improving training quality is the core task of all units in the whole school, contributing to strengthening the educational tradition and brand of the school in the context of strong competition today. And the quality assurance activities need the comprehensive cooperation from the School Board to the leaders of faculties/institutes/departments in activities such as enrollment, training programs, teaching staff, learning materials system, policy system.
In addition, training units need to participate in comparing the quality of training programs with those of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM City to have a comprehensive view.
Dr. Bui Vu Anh - Deputy Director of the Institute for Training Quality Assurance, VNU shares experiences and guides the evaluation criteria and university ranking indexes of VNU.
The conference received comments from leaders of faculties/institutes/departments on the current quality assurance activities of the school. Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Chieu - Head of the Faculty of Political Science assessed that the system of documents on training quality assurance of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is systematic, the quality assessment activities are effective, and the quality assurance information system is highly unified. In addition, the Head of the Faculty of Political Science proposed that the school needs to digitize the database in a unified manner, have a plan for training linkage between faculties/institutes as well as a plan to periodically review subjects and groups of subjects to serve the needs of learners and meet the requirements of the labor market.
