According to the ASEAN University Network (AUN-QA) Program Quality Assessment Standards, important aspects of the training program will be assessed, such as: program output standards and learning outcomes, teaching content, teaching methods, assessment methods, quality assurance activities, lecturers and students, facilities and student support, etc. From there, the assessment team will provide advice for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to complete and improve the quality of its training programs.
In addition to studying the self-assessment report and supporting documents, the delegation also directly interviewed relevant parties, including: leaders of training units, lecturers, students, alumni, employers and members involved in the implementation of the self-assessment process (SAR team).
The AUN-QA assessment team works with training unit leaders, lecturers, students, alumni, employers and relevant members to conduct the self-assessment process.
In addition, the delegation also visited the school's facilities, the facilities of each Faculty, visited some related departments such as the Training Department, the Department of Politics and Student Affairs, the IT classroom,... as well as attended the evaluated training programs.
Previously, the above 3 training programs had conducted a Self-assessment of the training program quality since February 2023 and submitted the Self-assessment Report on the training program quality 2 months before the delegation came to directly assess the training unit (September 2023).
The delegation visited the facilities at the dormitory for students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU.
According to Dr. Nghiem Xuan Huy - Director of the Institute for Education Quality Assurance, VNU, the AUN-QA Program assessment is a great opportunity for the University of Social Sciences and Humanities to receive useful advice from educational experts from leading universities in the region, helping the school identify strengths, weaknesses as well as areas that need improvement in the assessed programs. The accreditation of training programs according to international standards will contribute to improving the competitiveness of students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities in the labor market as well as enhancing the reputation and brand of the school, making a positive contribution to the development of society.
ASEAN University Network (AUN-QA)was established in November 1995 with 11 initial members from 6 countries. To date, AUN has 30 members from 10 countries in the Southeast Asian region.
