Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become the most important technology trend shaping the world in 2024, the most important technological innovation of the new era. AI in general and machine learning, deep learning, and generative AI in particular are creating systems that can self-learn, self-adapt, and self-operate. AI applications have been widely applied in all areas of social life, and education cannot stay out of the game.
Generative AI will spark innovative ideas about how it works and transform the world in 2023, said John Roese, global chief technology officer at Dell Technologies. Moving into 2024, we will see a wave of generative AI projects reach maturity, revealing important and useful aspects that were not well understood in the early stages.
GEN AI is a type of artificial intelligence technology that can generate various types of content, including text, images, audio, and synthetic data. In the current context, understanding what Generative AI is and how it is applied in each specific field is an urgent requirement and also an important key to exploring new opportunities and challenges.
For many years, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) has been a pioneer in applying information technology to innovate methods and improve training quality. The University is also the sole partner of Meta Group in implementing projects to improve digital capacity and AI application capacity in teaching and learning activities for lecturers and students of the University. In 2023, VNU-USSH is also the first unit in Vietnam to officially issue the Digital Capacity Framework for students and has been referenced by more than 150 universities in Vietnam to include in their curriculum.
Technology is constantly changing, requiring each individual to adapt and apply flexibly in practice to improve efficiency and quality of work. In order to accompany the teaching staff, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities organizes a course with the theme "Breakthrough with GEN AI in teaching and research", exclusively for staff and lecturers of VNU-USSH.

The course will be held from December 30, 2024 to March 15, 2025.
Divided into 3 classes exclusively for VNU-USSH staff, each class lasts 9 sessions and is limited to 30 students.
The course will be accompanied by experts in digital capacity and artificial intelligence from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and partners: Meta Group, SkillPixel.
Course content: AI genes and applications in higher education; Learning, creating, teaching with AI; Building digital lectures with AI; Scientific research, international publishing with AI; Using AI ethically and responsibly; AI working with students and classroom management

By taking the course, teachers and lecturers, whether they are already proficient in installing and using AI applications in teaching and research, or those who are just learning about a certain AI tool and using it for entertainment or daily life needs, will find useful information and skills to create "breakthroughs" in their teaching and research practices.
Classes will close registration links on December 20, 2024. So teachers, please register now to not miss the opportunity to master one of the most important and modern technological achievements of the digital age.
In order to build suitable courses that best meet the needs and desires of teachers regarding the application of artificial intelligence (Gen AI) in teaching and research, we look forward to receiving your comments through the questionnaire attached below.
