The attraction of Humanities in the 2024 Admissions and Career Counseling Festival in Hai Duong and Hai Phong

It is known that from 2025, the high school graduation exam and regular university entrance exam will have many changes. Therefore, candidates need to research and choose a major that suits their personal strengths and job market trends. Many questions about internship opportunities, practical training, scholarships and job opportunities of training majors in general and application-oriented training majors in particular of candidates in Hai Duong and Hai Phong were answered by teachers and students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities on March 9-10.

Training programs updated with international trends and labor market requirements
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong - Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU shared: In 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU plans to enroll students in 5 ways for 27 training majors and plans to open 1 new training major.
The school's lecture system and training program are always innovated and updated to meet the needs of learners and the requirements of the labor market in Vietnam as well as in the world.
VNU-USSH has 12 training programs certified for quality assessment according to AUN-QA standards, 18 training programs have achieved quality accreditation according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training. It is expected that in 2024, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities will continue to conduct AUN-QA quality accreditation with 01 training program and 03 programs according to the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training.
Also according to Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong, in 2024, the enrollment target of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is expected to increase by 10% compared to the previous year with about 2,200 targets, increasing opportunities for candidates wishing to become new students of Hanoi University of Humanities.
Film and Popular Arts: Training ground for future screenwriters and directors
This is the sharing of Associate Professor, Dr. Dang Thi Thu Huong when answering questions from candidates about the Cinema and Popular Arts major at VNU – USSH, expected to enroll in the 2024 – 2025 school year.
This training program is designed to train bachelors to work in research/practice in cinema, popular arts, cultural industries and related fields. Students will be equipped with a system of knowledge and professional skills, and complementary career skills related to cinema and arts. Many cultural and educational experts evaluate that the Cinema and Popular Arts training program has many prospects to attract students to choose and be passionate about, helping students open up more career opportunities such as directors, screenwriters, etc.
With the resounding success of many works on Vietnamese screens in the past year such as “Dat Rung Phuong Nam”, “Dao, Pho va Piano”, “Mai”, “Tet o Lang Dia Nguc”,... young directors and screenwriters will have more job opportunities in the future. It is predicted that the Cinema and Popular Arts industry will certainly receive the attention of students and parents.

Many special support policies for learners
When becoming full-time students of standard and high-quality training programs of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, students are supportedpre-register for some courses in master's training programsfrom the 3rd year. Upon completion, students are given a transcript of course credits and are recognized (or transferred equivalent credits) for their courses when studying for a master's degree.
In addition to learning activities in the classroom, students also participate in internship and practical programs at many organizations, businesses, and universities in Vietnam and several other countries.
With a network of cooperation with 200 domestic and foreign organizations and enterprises, students of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities have many opportunities for internships, practical work and finding jobs while still in the classroom.
