Continue online training cooperation with UPM Company

On February 4, 2021, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan (Vice Rector in charge of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) received and worked with the representative of UPM Education Development Joint Stock Company, Mr. Dang Van Binh (Technical Director of the Company).

At the meeting, representatives of the two sides discussed and agreed on upcoming cooperation activities between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and UPM Company based on the e-learning system sponsorship contract. Accordingly, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities committed to continue using the Learning Management System (LMS) of UPM Company to organize and manage teaching and learning activities in the second semester of the 2020-2021 school year. The decision to switch to online teaching is based on Official Dispatch No. 180/ĐHQGHN-CT&HSSV dated January 28, 2021 of the Director of VNU and Official Dispatch No. 290/XHNV dated January 28, 2021 of the University President on the prompt implementation of measures to ensure prevention and control of the Covid-19 epidemic.

On behalf of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan highly appreciated the enthusiastic help and support of UPM in the recent past. The support for implementing e-learning using UPM platform technology has helped the University deploy online teaching conveniently and effectively on a large scale.

UPM's e-learning teaching platform has been evaluated by teachers and technical staff of the School as having many outstanding utilities compared to other online learning applications, in which ensuring the needs of stakeholders such as: supporting lecturers in building learning schedules, controlling students' learning progress, online lectures, testing and evaluation; supporting students in grasping the entire learning process, participating in lectures, reviewing lectures, giving feedback, doing exercises, discussing and requesting help; supporting the training department in managing the progress and quality of the School's training activities. The issue of user information security and copyright of learning materials on the system is also committed to the highest level. Up to now, 90% of the School's subjects, including undergraduate and postgraduate levels, are being deployed on UPM's system.
