Warm Kitchen of Humanities - Warm meals with love from Humanities students

On cold winter days, somewhere around Hanoi, there are still homeless people and poor workers struggling with life every day. The cold makes it more difficult for them to not only think of ways to fight hunger but also fight the cold. Therefore, the Faculty of Tourism in collaboration with the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Thinh Liet Ward wants to help and share with those unfortunate lives with meaningful meals through the program "Warm Kitchen for Humanity 2022."

From early morning, the group members were present in full force, each with their own task...

In the mild weather mixed with a bit of humidity on a weekend in March, the kitchen located at 140/1277 Giai Phong is on fire with the participation of many members and volunteers of the "Warm Kitchen of Humanity" campaign. In just a few hours, the meals were completed neatly. All of these meals were loaded onto trucks to be delivered to each poor worker. The meals are guaranteed to be nutritious, but above all, it is the affection of the campaign participants and philanthropists for the poor workers and those in difficult circumstances.

“My feelings are mixed, there is joy and happiness but also sadness when seeing grandparents, uncles and aunts wandering in the dark without their families.”

Those were the common feelings of the members and volunteers of “Humanitarian Warm Kitchen” during the first rice distribution yesterday. Seeing the smiles and using the items we donated was a happy and emotional feeling. There were elderly people here, with sore legs, but still working hard day and night to earn a living.

Each person has a hand, the rhythmic coordination, along with the concentration of the volunteers at this time are small fires, and in no time the nutritious meals are completed and placed on the delivery vehicles to be delivered to the locations of the poor workers and homeless people.

Home - that very simple happiness is really a luxury for many people...

People often say "People have many places to go but only one place to return to. That is HOME". But that very simple happiness is really a luxury for many people... That is for the homeless! In this crowded and bustling city, every night, people only see the sparkling lights, the noisy car horns at the end of the day, the rush and bustle of a working day, but somewhere, in the hidden corners of the city, are fates that make people choke.

Although the meals are small, they contain a sense of sharing, hoping that it will be a gift that helps them ease some of the hardships of life.

"Humanitarian Warm Kitchen 2022" will continue until April 3, 2022. The Organizing Committee always hopes to receive support from sponsors to bring small joys with meals during the epidemic season, contributing to creating a better life for poor workers.
