Deputy Director of the Student Support Center Nguyen Van Thang said that currently, the total number of students staying at the 3 dormitories is more than 1,000 students, including 98 international students. The majority of boarding students are policy beneficiaries and at the beginning of each school year, the Center reviews the students, grasps and approaches them to know their circumstances, thereby finding sources of support and especially during difficult times, dormitory managers regularly visit to know the difficulties that students are facing to find ways to solve them.
We will never stop looking for support sources for students, because for us it is our duty and responsibility. We hope that you will join us in overcoming all difficulties, and feel secure in living and studying at the dormitory while following the social distancing requirements to prevent the epidemic - the Deputy Director of the Student Support Center shared.
During the period of social distancing,There are students in the provinces who cannot return to their hometowns, nor can they work part-time to cover their daily living expenses.
To ensure safety during the Covid-19 epidemic, students coming to receive support gifts must wash their hands with sanitizer, wear masks and ensure safe distance.
Expressing her gratitude for the school's concern, student Pham Thi Huong, living at the Foreign Language Dormitory, shared that she was both surprised and relieved because the gift would help her cover her living expenses while waiting for the pandemic to end so she can go to school and possibly go back to work.
In particular, the Student Support Center also supports foreign students studying at VNU who are also facing difficulties due to the Covid-19 epidemic.
Huong added that due to the prolonged impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, many students like us have encountered difficulties when our income has decreased and we are stuck in the city and cannot return to our hometowns. It is very difficult when our families are also in difficult circumstances, and students' living expenses only depend on the meager part-time salary. However, the uncles, aunts, brothers and sisters at the Center have always provided timely support and shared with us when we encountered difficulties... my friends and I always keep in our hearts the warm feelings of this place.
