The valedictorian of the Literature Department of K53 this year is Tran Dang Trung with a GPA of 3.62. Trung's family has a grandfather, father and mother who are all university lecturers. It is the family tradition and love of literature that motivates Dang Trung to take the entrance exam to the Literature Department - University of Social Sciences and Humanities. That is also what makes Trung consider himself a lucky person, having the conditions to devote himself more wholeheartedly to studying.

With an average score of 3.71, Ho Thu Ha (a student majoring in Clinical Psychology, Faculty of Psychology) became the valedictorian of the QH-2008-X course this year.

“Propaganda of Thang Long culture and history” is one of the new volunteer contents in the 2012 summer volunteer campaign of the capital’s youth and students in 2012. The volunteer team of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities promoting Thang Long culture and history has more than 80 members from the faculties of Linguistics, Tourism, Oriental Studies and International Studies, divided into 6 volunteer teams at tourist destinations in and outside Hanoi including the Temple of Literature, Ngoc Son Temple, Thang Long Imperial Citadel, Co Loa relic site – Dong Anh, Soc Temple relic site – Soc Son and the temple of Princess Y Lan – Gia Lam.
