On the occasion of the 65th anniversary of War Invalids and Martyrs Day (July 27, 1947 - July 27, 2012), on July 26, 2012, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union and the Veterans Association of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU) organized a visit and presented gifts to the Center for Nursing Seriously Wounded Soldiers in Liem Can Commune (Thanh Liem District - Ha Nam) and the Center for Nursing Seriously Wounded Soldiers in Nho Quan District (Ninh Binh Province). This is a meaningful and humane activity organized by the University every year to show gratitude for the contributions and sacrifices of the wounded and sick soldiers.

But overcoming the loss and suffering, with extraordinary determination, many wounded soldiers continued to work, found happiness for themselves and contributed effectively to the community and society. They - shining examples with the indomitable qualities of Uncle Ho's soldiers, with the spirit of "disabled but not useless" - wrote new heroic songs in peacetime.
