On May 5, 2011, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and the International University of Korea (IUK) signed a framework agreement to establish a cooperative relationship between the two schools.

8 drama teams from different faculties in the school had a memorable performance at the Faculty of Literature Open Drama Night, an activity towards the 55th anniversary of the founding of the Faculty of Literature (1956 - 2011).

"Vu nhu To" is one of the plays with high artistic value of Vietnamese theater. Author Nguyen Huy Tuong, through unique reenactments, has depicted the appearance of the Le Trung Hung dynasty, specifically Le Tuong Duc, a fundamental decline of the Vietnamese feudal institution in the 16th century.

On April 25, 2011, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Principal of the School - signed a decision to appoint Dr. Tran Thu Huong (Deputy Head of Clinical Psychology Department) to hold the position of Deputy Head of the Department of Psychology, with a term following the term of the Head of the Department.

On April 25, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh (Principal of the University) had a working session with Prof. Dr. Chung Sok Suh (Director of the Institute of Korean Studies, University of New South Wales, Australia). At the meeting, the two sides discussed future cooperation plans: jointly implementing a 5-year interdisciplinary research project on public administration, culture, and economic policy. It is expected that in July 2012, the two sides will jointly organize a scientific conference.

On April 23, 2011, the Party Committee of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities held the 2011 Party Work Conference.

On April 22, 2011, a delegation from Guangxi University for Nationalities (China) led by Prof. Dr. Chung Hai Thanh (Party Committee Secretary) visited and worked with the University of Social Sciences and Humanities.
