On January 7, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU successfully organized the Conference to summarize the work of the Youth Union, Association - Youth and Student Movement in the 2022 - 2023 school year, and at the same time commended students and student groups achieving the title of 5 Good.

Free program for all students to attend

At the end of December 2023, the Faculty of History, University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized an Archaeological internship for all first-year students in Quoc Oai district (Hanoi) and Quang Ninh province, including 3 groups, each group of about 30 students. This is an annual activity, part of the training program for students majoring in History and is of great interest to the School's Board of Directors. On December 26, 2023, following the direction of the Board of Directors, representatives of the leaders of functional departments and the Faculty of History visited and encouraged students of the Faculty of History to participate in the internship.

On January 6, 2024, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, the closing ceremony of the official survey took place, assessing the quality of the university level of 03 training programs of the University, including: Information Management, Library Information, Tourism and Travel Services Management.

On January 4, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Dao Thanh Truong - Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), had a meeting with Prof. Michael Herzfeld - Professor of Social Sciences, Department of Anthropology, Harvard University. Also attending the meeting were Associate Professor Dr. Le Tuan Anh - Deputy Head of the Department of Cooperation and Development, Vietnam National University, Hanoi; representatives of the Department of Anthropology and the Department of Oriental Studies.

On January 3, 2024, the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities (KHXH&NV), under the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, held an incense offering ceremony and launched the National Excellent Student Team for the 2023-2024 school year at the School's Tradition Room.

The three scientific reports are research results distilled by scientists from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, sent to the Government's Committee for Religious Affairs to perfect policies on religion and belief.

This is the content that received the attention and discussion of leading scientists at the Scientific Seminar and Policy Advisory Report Commentary organized by the Center for Contemporary Religious Studies (CECRS) of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, on December 26, 2023.

On December 22, 2023, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH), the Center for Sea and Island Studies coordinated with the Vietnam History Foundation under the Historical Science Association to organize a workshop: Southern commercial port system: Potential, Position and Regional and inter-regional exchange relationships.

The Scientific Workshop “Types of boats and methods of using boats in Vietnamese history” organized by the Asia Maritime and Trade Research Group, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU in collaboration with the Vietnam Historical Science Association was held on December 29, 2023, receiving the attention and participation of many leading research experts and scientists in various fields.

On December 28, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) solemnly held the Degree Awarding Ceremony for the 2nd batch of new PhDs and Masters in 2023.

On December 20, 2023, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (USSH), Vietnam National University, Hanoi, a preliminary survey to assess the quality of 03 training programs took place: Information - Library, Information Management and Tourism and Travel Services Management. After a day of checking supporting documents and surveying facilities, the External Assessment Team of the Thang Long Education Quality Assessment Center announced the results and signed the minutes of completion of the preliminary survey.

On December 21, 2023, Prof. Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan - Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH), had a meeting with Mr. Ruici Tio, Manager of the Asia-Pacific Policy and Integrity Program of Meta. Also attending the meeting were Mr. Amri Priyadi, Senior Advisor for the Asia-Pacific region and a number of Meta representatives in Vietnam. The meeting was not only an opportunity to evaluate the achievements in recent years but also to propose key cooperation contents in the coming time.

On December 19, 2023, at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, a seminar on "Improving the effectiveness of testing and evaluating learners' learning outcomes" took place. The seminar was organized by the School's Trade Union with the participation of the School's Trade Union Executive Committee, the Department's Trade Union Executive Committee, representatives of functional departments, and a large number of lecturers and students of the School.
