On June 1, 2023, Times Higher Education (THE) announced the ranking results of THE Impact Rankings 2023, accordingly, VNU has increased its ranking compared to 2022. In 2023, VNU is in the 401-600 group in the world, with a strong breakthrough in the ranking of Quality Education, ranked 70th in the world, 5th in Southeast Asia and 1st in Vietnam.

Bringing convenience and quickly updating advanced technology to learners and teachers is the consistent policy of the project to cover high-speed wireless network in all VNU-USSH lecture halls.

Sharing experiences in building high-quality human resources, training programs and digital transformation in university governance between two leading universities in social sciences and humanities at two ends of the country was the content discussed at the 2023 Annual Meeting between the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU (VNU-USSH) and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU-HCM (USSH-VNU HCM) held on May 26, 2023.

Excited and passionate about many practical experiences with famous speakers in the field of startups, that was the atmosphere of the Talk Show "GenZ startups: Want to succeed without fear of failure" held at the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU (VNU-USSH) on May 23, 2023.

After more than 5 months of launching and implementing the program, 939 students participated in the Student Scientific Research Award with 552 projects, of which 212 projects won awards at the Faculty/Department level.

In January 2023, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU) continued to recognize 01 Key Research Center and 04 Strong Research Groups of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU-USSH) as Strong Research Groups at the Vietnam National University, Hanoi level. This is VNU's recognition and investment in the scientific and technological research activities of VNU-USSH - a leading university in training high-quality, highly qualified human resources.

On April 21, 2023, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-USSH) had a meeting and worked with a delegation from 49 Chinese universities.
