1. Application conditions
(1) Not a citizen of the People's Republic of China, in good health;
(2) Requirements on education level and age:
- Applicants for undergraduate scholarships must be under 25 years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and have excellent academic achievements;
- Candidates for Master's scholarships must be under 35 years old, have a university degree or equivalent, and have excellent academic achievements;
- Candidates for PhD scholarships must be under 40 years old, have a Master's degree, and have excellent academic achievements;
- Candidates applying for the general academic research program scholarship must be under 45 years old and have a high school diploma or higher;
- Applicants for the advanced academic research program scholarship must be under 50 years old, have a master's degree or higher, or have the title of Associate Professor or higher;
(3) Language requirements:
- Applicants for undergraduate scholarships or general and advanced academic research programs with majors using Chinese as the language of instruction and study are required to have Chinese proficiency equivalent to HSK 3 or higher;
- Applicants for postgraduate scholarships with majors using Chinese as the language of instruction and study are required to have Chinese proficiency equivalent to HSK 4 or higher.
(4) Other requirements
Applicants must also meet the academic, language and other relevant requirements of the University they choose to study at after receiving the scholarship.
2. Application documents:
(1) Application form for Chinese Government Scholarship in Chinese or English.
(2) Copy of the applicant's passport's first page. Passport must be valid until at least March 1, 2023.
(3) Notarized highest level graduation certificate. For candidates who are final year students of the school, they can submit a certificate of being a student of the school or a temporary graduation certificate.
(4) Transcript.
(5) Language proficiency certification: For applicants who choose Chinese as the language of instruction and study in China, they must provide HSK Certificate or equivalent proficiency certificate as required. Applicants who choose a language other than Chinese as the language of instruction and study in China must provide corresponding language proficiency certificates, such as IELTS or TOEFL, according to the language proficiency requirements of the applicant's chosen school in China.
(6) Notice of admission.
(7) Study plan or Research outline in Chinese or English.
(8) Letter of recommendation.
(9) Candidates applying for majors in art, design, etc. must submit personal works (such as statues, paintings, etc.).
(10) Applicants under 18 years old must submit valid documents of legal guardian in China.
(11) For training programs with a study period of more than 06 months in China, applicants must submit a copy of the Health Examination Form for Foreigners, the original of which is kept by the applicant (This form is issued according to the form prescribed by the Quarantine Department of the Ministry of Health of China, and the information must be filled in English). Applicants should download the “Health Examination Form for Foreigners” from the websitehttp://www.csc.edu.cn/studyinchinaorwww.campuschina.org.
(12) Judicial record issued by a competent authority in Vietnam and still valid.
(13) Other documents: Certificates of merit, Certificates of participation in social activities, research topics, research articles published in specialized journals...

Units notify staff, students, and graduate students, make a list of candidate recommendations, and send official dispatches and application documents to the Department of Cooperation and Development: Room 404, Building E, before 5:00 p.m. on March 7, 2022.
