A. OVERVIEW
To enhance the participants’ understanding of Indonesian arts and culture as well as improve their performing arts skills, the participants will be divided and assigned by the organizers to attend approximately 16 online classes at different art centers for approximately two months. The art centers are located in six provinces of Indonesia, namely: West Sumatera; Yogyakarta; East Java; East Kalimantan, Bali and South Sulawesi. All participants will study and research Indonesian arts and culture, and they will have the opportunity to experience the heritage and interact with local artists. The comprehensive knowledge of theory and practice shared by the art center will certainly help enhance the participants’ understanding, strengthen cooperation and people-to-people diplomacy at the regional and global levels.
B. OBJECTIVES
The IACS Online Program aims to help participants gain a better understanding of Indonesia’s rich cultural and artistic heritage. Furthermore, the program also seeks to strengthen cultural cooperation through direct contact, experience, and cultural sharing among program participants, which can further strengthen diplomatic relations in the region and around the world.
C. PARTICIPANTS
Due to limitations in online format, efficiency and consideration of countries with different time zones, IACS Online 2021 will be limited to citizens of certain countries in ASIA-PACIFIC, EUROPE and AFRICA.
D. TIME
This non-degree arts and culture scholarship runs for two months, starting on September 24, 2021 and running through November 18, 2021. There will be approximately 16 online classes held on weekends with dates to be arranged later.
E. CLASS LOCATION & PLATFORM
All participants will attend this course from their own countries. All online classes will be held on Zoom Cloud Meeting platform.
F. COURSE INFORMATION:
Scholarship recipients will learn about Indonesian arts and culture in general. Each art center will have its own program to learn about local social culture. For example, the East Java arts and culture program with traditional Javanese dance in the East Java center. Or in Bali, students will learn about traditional Balinese dance. Meanwhile, coming to the center in South Sulawesi, candidates will also learn about the arts and culture of this land.

H. TERMS AND REQUIREMENTS:
1. Applicants must be between 19 and 35 years old, with a high school diploma
2. To avoid technical difficulties, applicants should be residents of Hanoi;
3. Applicants must have interest and ability in art. Students of art schools or those who have studied Indonesian culture are an advantage;
4. Although the program is held online, candidates still need to be in good physical condition to ensure the training program. For female candidates, they must ensure that they are not pregnant before and during the scholarship period;
5. Applicants must complete the application form (attached) and submit the following documents:
1) Letter of expression of wishes;
2) Digital or soft copy of passport or citizen identification card with at least two years validity;
3) Digital or soft copy of diploma;
4) Digital or soft copy of the latest general health certificate from a valid hospital/clinic;
5) Letter of recommendation;
6) A personally signed commitment stating the following:
a. Be willing to comply with all rules and regulations set forth by the organizers and art centers;
b. Be willing to participate in all programs arranged by the organizers and art centers, unless, during the participation, a qualified doctor confirms that health is no longer sufficient to ensure the program;
c. Be willing to take responsibility and accept being disqualified from the program if you do not comply with the regulations set forth by the organizer.
d. Candidates with proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia will be an advantage but is not a major criterion for the program. However, basic English skills are required.
