32 TT-TV students defend their theses early

On March 24, 2013, the Faculty of Information and Library Science (TT-TV) solemnly held the graduation thesis defense ceremony for 32 students of the QH-2009-X course.
On March 24, 2013, the Faculty of Information and Library Science (TT-TV) solemnly held the graduation thesis defense ceremony for 32 students of the QH-2009-X course.After more than 10 hours of serious and urgent work with the highest sense of responsibility of both teachers and students, the graduation thesis defense ceremony for students of the QH-2009-X course of the Faculty of Information and Library Science was a great success. At the end of the afternoon of the same day, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Thi Quy (Chairwoman of the Council) summarized the defense ceremony. Accordingly, all graduation theses were not only highly appreciated by the Council for their presentation form and scientific content of the thesis, but also for their method of summarizing the thesis content and the students' ability to present research results. Regarding the content, the research directions not only focus on the basic and traditional knowledge of the Information and Library industry but also have new research topics, updating new knowledge and scientific achievements applied in the Information and Library industry such as: Organization and operation of modern information centers and libraries; Digitizing documents and building digital collections; Organizing events in Information and Library activities; Open information access; Applying Facebook social network to information and television activities; Virtual library model and Google Books project; Marketing in information and television activities; Multimedia library; Private library serving the community, Reading culture... In terms of form, the theses were presented in accordance with the regulations of the University and printed beautifully. In terms of the ability to summarize the content of the thesis and present, most students summarized the research content very well and were very confident when presenting, answering well the questions of the reviewers and the council. Besides, there were also theses that did not comply with the presentation regulations of the University, so the arrangement of references, the arrangement of abbreviations, and the citation of references were not correct... The final result was that 32 students (100%) all achieved a score of 9.0 or higher. This is the second academic year that the Faculty of Information and Library Science has organized thesis defenses one semester ahead of schedule for fourth-year students on the basis of students completing their training progress early, since applying the credit-based training method. This result has received positive responses from students and employers, thereby creating new opportunities for students of the Information and Library Science major, University of Social Sciences and Humanities to find jobs soon after graduation.
