The workshop is an event that opens a series of professional activities of the mission with the participation of nearly 80 experts, scientists, and researchers from the National Academy of Public Administration, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU), the University of Home Affairs, the Information Center of the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Institute of State Organizational Sciences, the State Organization Journal, the State Records and Archives Department, the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, and representatives of the National Records Office.
Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan - Party Secretary, Director of the National Academy of Public Administration, Deputy Head of the National Mission in the field of Public Administration delivered the opening speech at the workshop.
Speaking at the workshop, Dr. Dang Xuan Hoan - Party Secretary, Director of the National Academy of Public Administration, Vice Head of the National Mission in the field of Public Administration emphasized the importance of the tasks and the role of cooperation between the National Academy of Public Administration and the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU) in implementing the objectives of this research mission of special significance.

Also at the opening session, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - Party Secretary, Vice Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU) highly appreciated the efforts of the research team implementing the National Vision task in the field of Administration in proactively and actively building research contents to clarify the appearance of the administrative system in Vietnam; typical activities and achievements of the Vietnamese administrative system in the 21st century with modern approaches and research methods.
Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong, Head of the Task Force "Research and development of the National Geographical Set of Vietnam: Administrative Volume" presented the introductory report at the workshop.
On behalf of the task management board, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong - Director of the Institute of Policy and Management, Head of the Faculty of Management Sciences, Head of the component task "Research and development of the National Geographical Book of Vietnam: Administrative Volume" presented a report providing the most general information and content about the topic. The report raised the following issues for discussion: How to compile the book (including 4 volumes); How to present the content of chapters and sections according to the standards of the National Geographical Book of Vietnam; Approach and method of compiling section content; Approach and method of compiling sample sections (test writing); Current administrative issues of Vietnam shown in the National Geographical Book.
Associate Professor Dr. Hoang Mai - National Academy of Public Administration presented a report at the conference.
The workshop listened to 6 reports presented by the reporters on issues such as: contemporary Vietnamese administrative issues serving the compilation of the Vietnam National Geographical Gazetteer in the administrative field; Overview of administrative reform in Vietnam; Approaches and methods for compiling sample entries (trial writing) of the Administrative Collection... The report contents attracted a lot of attention from experts in the discussion session. Scientists and researchers exchanged many opinions and contributed to the Task Force on approaches and methods for compiling the Vietnam National Geographical Gazetteer in the administrative field.
Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh - Chairman of the Science and Training Council, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU, former Rector of University of Social Sciences and Humanities spoke at the discussion session.
At the end of the workshop, the Steering Committee of the task proposed orientations for the implementation of the task in the coming period and expressed expectations that the research results of the task will meet the set goals and the support of a large number of scientists and experts attending the workshop. The workshop affirmed the effective coordination of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities (VNU), the National Academy of Public Administration with research units on administrative science, the leading organizations in Vietnam today in research cooperation, implementation of national topics and projects.
