Late Professor, People's Teacher Dinh Xuan Lam and Professor, People's Teacher Le Van Lan were awarded the State Prize for Science and Technology.

On December 31, 2021, President Nguyen Xuan Phuc signed Decision No. 2472/QD-CTN on awarding the Ho Chi Minh Prize and Decision No. 2473/QD-CTN on awarding the 6th State Prize for Science and Technology in 2021. The Council for Awarding the Ho Chi Minh Prize and the 6th State Prize for Science and Technology (the Prize) selected 09 Ho Chi Minh Prizes and 15 State Prizes to award. Of which, the work "Anti-Colonialism Movement in Vietnam" by the late Professor, Dr. Dinh Xuan Lam and the cluster of works "Modern Vietnamese Poetry" by Professor, Dr. Le Van Lan (pen name Ma Giang Lan) were awarded the State Prize in the field of social sciences and humanities.

Project "Anti-colonialism movement in Vietnam" by Professor Dinh Xuan Lam published by Education Publishing House in 2015, 651 pages long, including 5 parts: (1) From Can Vuong to Duy Tan, (2) Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnamese revolution, (3) International aspects of the Vietnamese national liberation movement, (4) Typical historical figures and (5) Some issues of documents, historiography and principles of evaluating historical figures. The work is a collection of 72 out of a total of about 560 research works during nearly six decades of writing (from 1957-2015) by Professor Dinh Xuan Lam. The contributions of the research works are extremely important in helping to orient and adjust some perceptions and evaluation views on issues and historical figures that are still controversial in the Vietnamese historical and social sciences and humanities community.
Specifically, the work has made a great contribution to clarifying the context, content, characteristics, nature and role of the movement to fight against French colonialism in the second half of the 19th century - early 20th century; Deeply examining and reconstructing the portraits of the lives, careers and outstanding contributions of typical figures in modern Vietnamese history; Making an outstanding contribution to the study of Ho Chi Minh and the relationship between the Vietnamese revolution and the world revolution; Contributing to adjusting, even changing the perception of Vietnamese historians on a number of sensitive issues that have caused fierce debates for decades since 1954.
Not only influential in Vietnam, Professor Dinh Xuan Lam's research work is also used as reference material in research and teaching at many foreign universities. Many foreign researchers in France, the US, Russia, Australia... have consulted and used the results of his work Anti-Colonialism Movement in Vietnam to serve the research and teaching of Vietnamese history.

PROFESSOR, PEOPLE'S TEACHER DINH XUAN LAM (1925-2017), hometown: Huong Son, Ha Tinh; recognized as Professor in 1984; awarded the title of People's Teacher in 1988. Professor worked at the Faculty of History, Hanoi University of Science from 1956-1990; held management positions: Head of the Department of Modern and Contemporary Vietnamese History, Faculty of History; Vice President of the Vietnam Historical Science Association. The main research directions of the Professor: Anti-colonialism movement in Vietnam; Nguyen Ai Quoc - Ho Chi Minh and the Vietnamese revolution.
 
Cluster of works "Modern Vietnamese Poetry" by Professor, People's Teacher Le Van Lan was awarded the 6th State Prize for Science and Technology in 2021

Cluster of works "Modern Vietnamese Poetry" by Professor, People's Teacher Le Van Lan includes the following works: 1.The progress of modern Vietnamese poetry, Education Publishing House, Hanoi, 2000; 2.Poetry formation and reception, Hanoi National University Publishing House, 2004; 3.Modern Vietnamese Literature - Issues - Authors, Education Publishing House, Hanoi, 2005; 4.The structures of poetry, Hanoi National University Publishing House, 2011. This group of works is reprinted inCritical Studies Collection, volume 1 and volume 2, 1640 pages, Literature Publishing House, Hanoi, 2017.
The group of works was formed over a period of 48 years, as a result of the author's continuous research and teaching process, demonstrating the author's exploration and innovation in poetry research, demonstrating a comprehensive and systematic view of poetry based on reliable documents. The in-depth research works on modern Vietnamese poetry in this group of works analyze in detail and fully the following issues: Theory, conception of poetry, genre movement, poetic forms, poetic forms, poetic structures, clarifying the aesthetic characteristics of poetry in general and modern Vietnamese poetry in particular. The group of works has provided a systematic view, general assessment and in-depth discussion of the process, characteristics, and typical phenomena of modern Vietnamese poetry, affirming the significance and superiority of the semantic positivist method combined with a number of modern methods such as Structuralism, Poetics, Cultural Geography, Cultural Studies, Linguistics, etc. in the study of poetry in general and modern Vietnamese poetry in particular.

PROFESSOR, DOCTOR, PEOPLE'S TEACHER LE VAN LAN was born in 1941, hometown: Thanh Hoa. The professor graduated from the Faculty of Literature, Hanoi University in 1965; received a PhD in Literature from the Faculty of Literature, Hanoi University in 1985; was recognized as a Professor in 2002; was awarded the title of Meritorious Teacher in 2002; was awarded the title of People's Teacher in 2010. The professor worked at the Faculty of Literature from 1965-2006; held the position of Head of the Department of Modern Vietnamese Literature (1986-2010). The professor's main research directions: 20th century Vietnamese literature; literary genres focusing on poetry.
Up to now, the team of scientists of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has been awarded 11 Ho Chi Minh Prizes and 14 State Prizes for Science and Technology.
