Scientific conference for young cadres and postgraduate students in 2021

On December 30, 2021, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities organized the "Scientific Conference for Young Staff and Postgraduate Students 2021" in both direct and online formats. The conference was attended by Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Vice Rector of the University); Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quang Hung (Faculty of Philosophy), Dr. Le Thi Thanh Tam (Faculty of Vietnamese Studies and Vietnamese Language) along with graduate students, lecturers, and staff of the University.

The workshop is an activity to contribute to improving the quality of training and scientific research of young staff and postgraduate students; applying the knowledge learned, researching specific issues raised by the profession; creating a professional foundation, research skills for the learning and research process (thesis, dissertation); improving the quality of training and self-training, aiming to develop high-quality human resources, discovering and nurturing a team of potential scientific staff. The workshop also aims to create an academic atmosphere among young staff and postgraduate students, contributing to building a research university.

Opening the Workshop, Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong (Vice Principal) shared that this Workshop is a special occasion for young teachers and graduate students to nurture and develop their inspiration and passion for research as well as inherit and promote the achievements and traditions of knowledge that previous generations of the University have built and developed.

Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Quang Hung and Associate Professor, Dr. Dao Thanh Truong chaired the Workshop.
 
The Vice President expressed his hope that the next seminars will gather many studies that are adapted to the trend of international integration and the context of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. At the same time, he hoped that the young staff would accompany the School to develop more interdisciplinary and applied studies to link the spirit of Humanity with the roadmap for developing scientific research activities faster, further and more sustainably.

Dr. Le Thi Vinh (Faculty of Philosophy, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU) presented the report.

The conference received 16 articles which are new research in the field of Social Sciences and Humanities, distilled from research results in theses and dissertations since the invitation to write articles was sent in April 2021. The evaluation and selection council selected the 6 best quality articles to present at the conference:
1. Equality in education from John Dewey's perspective - Le Thi Vinh.
2. Applying Ho Chi Minh's perspective on endogenous strength in educating entrepreneurship thinking for students today - Tran Truong Gia Bao.
3. Religious issues of some ethnic groups in Vietnam today - Pham Thu Trang.
4. Religious and belief characteristics of Long Tien pagoda in Ha Long city, Quang Ninh province - Pham Hong Gam.
5. Foreign rescue activities at sea during the Nguyen Lord period: economic benefits and the establishment of maritime sovereignty - Pham Thi Thom.
6. The concept of faith in Soren Kierkegaard's existential philosophy - Nguyen Duy Tuan.
