This year's International Humanitarian Forum in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, discussed topics of global concern. President of Azerbaijan, Mr. Ilham Aliyev attended and delivered the opening speech.

This year's Humanist Forum Manifesto draws attention to the factors that promote an unsustainable economy through the constant increase in demand that is contrary to the principles of sustainable development; and to the degradation of resources, moral degradation and the limitations of humanism, leading to irreversible global ecological consequences, in order to seek opportunities to contribute to ensuring long-term sustainable development, based on understanding, human potential and the principles of ecological civilization. Recognizing the conditions of globalization, the common future can be formed thanks to the efficiency, scientific nature of the flows of mobility in accordance with the ethical principles of humanism, the collective intelligence, culture, human and social potential and the natural diversity that exists on our planet.

First session: The chair is the Minister of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Azad Rahimov.

After the first discussion session, the forum moved to the second discussion session with speeches by Nobel Prize-winning scientists (14 people), in the fields of Chemistry, Medicine, Economics, Physics. The chair was Mr. Akif Alizadeh, President of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences.
The forum then divided into small groups to discuss key issues. The session was chaired by the Minister of Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Mikayil Jabbarov. The topics of the roundtable included “Comparative Cross-Cultural Studies: From Theory to Humanitarian Practice”, “Transformation of Media in the Digital Age: New Development Trends”, “The Role of Interdisciplinary Integration in Creative Development”, “Sustainable Development and Ecological Population”, “The Challenge of Globalization: Tradition and Transformation”, “Molecular Biology and Biotechnology: Theory, Practice and Prospects”, “Technological Convergence and the Future: The Turning Point Challenges of the 21st Century”, “Humanism as a Fundamental Value in the Postmodern Era”.

Within the framework of the forum, Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Khanh and Dr. Dao Thanh Truong had a meeting and worked with the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan together with the Rector of Baku University, Prof. Dr. Abel Maharramov, Rector of ADA University, Hafiz Pashayev, Rector of Foreign Language University, Samad Seyidov to discuss the possibility of cooperation and training and student exchange between the schools.
