In the context of rapid innovation and international integration, the issue of improving quality and diversifying training professions has been raised and resolutely implemented by the University. After many times of building and adjusting the training program in a synchronous and comprehensive manner, currently, the University of Social Sciences and Humanities has 22 undergraduate training majors. The training majors of the University are developed in 3 groups: 1) Basic science majors; 2) Applied science majors; 3) Interdisciplinary science majors. The orientation in developing the training majors of the University is to focus on developing basic science majors and interdisciplinary science majors to carry out the initial mission of higher education in the field of social sciences and humanities in Vietnam; and to develop applied science majors to be able to promptly meet the needs of socio-economic development and international integration that the academic potential and human resources of the University are capable of meeting best.

The Faculty of Journalism and Communication is one of the few faculties of the University that currently undertakes the training of two majors in parallel. Thanks to a team of talented, responsible, dynamic and creative staff, the Faculty of Journalism and Communication has not only successfully completed its training tasks in two majors: Journalism and Public Relations, but also achieved many outstanding achievements in both breadth and depth in scientific research.
