The Rector expressed his joy and emotion when welcoming the alumni of K23 History to visit the School. Introducing the current situation of the School, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh shared a lot of information: The School still maintains its position as the leading training cradle in social sciences and humanities in the country. The School currently has 25 undergraduate training majors, more than 70 postgraduate training majors, with 10,000 students and trainees of all systems, more than 110 lecturers who are professors and associate professors out of a total of more than 500 staff. The School has signed cooperation agreements with more than 300 foreign partners and is strongly promoting its internationalization strategy in its fields of operation.
With the slogan "Respect the past, hold the future", the School not only upholds the good traditional values of the past 70 years but is also actively innovating and transforming itself to integrate with the world. The philosophy of liberal education is imbued in all activities: management thinking is being transformed into modern university management thinking; promoting the spirit of service, taking learners as the center; promoting the creative and proactive spirit of the staff...
Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh affirmed that it is the academic tradition of Hanoi National University; the critical thinking in scientific research imparted by generations of leading scientists; and the spirit of overcoming difficulties fostered during the war that has helped create the success of many generations of alumni of the University today. The unique features in the research and teaching tradition of Hanoi National University have been continued and spread in the activities of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities today.
The former students of K23, after 40 years, expressed their emotions when witnessing the new appearance of the school. Many names of teachers who were idols in the hearts of the students of that year were mentioned with respect and affection. Memories of studying in the midst of bombs and bullets or students participating in local production labor... were recounted.
Above all, the alumni all said that it was the knowledge foundation learned at the old Hanoi University that contributed to shaping their worldview, outlook on life, and career and work orientation that they have pursued throughout their lives. The close teacher-student relationship and close friendship that have not faded over the years have become an unforgettable part of everyone's memories.
Each alumni is not only a training product that the School contributes to society, but they themselves are a valuable resource, the most reliable image ambassador of the School. With that meaning, the Principal respectfully thanked the alumni for their affection and hoped to continue to receive their attention and support for the development of the School in the future.
The group of alumni of K23 History performed a number of musical performances for the School.
