Monday - October 8, 2018 06:34
On October 5, 2018, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) received and worked with Mr. Peter Girke (Chief Representative of KAS Foundation in Vietnam) and Mr. David Brahler (Southeast Asia Office of KAS Foundation).

At the meeting, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities) affirmed that the KAS Institute is one of the long-term and reliable partners of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities. The Rector hopes to continue receiving the Institute's support in the future in areas such as scholar exchange, international conference organization, and international publication. In the cooperation in organizing conferences, some priority topics are the comparison of the ASEAN-EU security environment, the comparison of ASEAN-EU culture, the reform of education, society, and culture in Vietnam and foreign experiences, etc.

Mr. Peter Girke highly appreciated the above proposals and said that KAS Institute is always interested in investing in education, ready to help and create conditions for the School in the future. For example, recently on September 18, 2018, KAS and the School co-organized a seminar on "Innovation in compiling History textbooks for high school students in Vietnam and some international experiences". These will be the driving forces to promote bilateral relations in particular, and Germany - Vietnam relations in general. The main operational goals of KAS are to support democracy, build a rule-of-law state and expand the social market economy. KAS projects aim to further strengthen long-term political stability as well as economic and social development in Vietnam.
