Principal Pham Quang Minh presented on promoting internationalization in scientific research at the ENHANCE closing ceremony

Last September, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh (Rector of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, VNU) led the University's delegation to participate in the workshop "Summary of the ENHANCE Project - Strengthening national research and innovation capacity in Vietnam" held in Ho Chi Minh City.

The workshop was attended by Dr. Manuel Palomar (Rector of the University of Alicante, the main coordinator of the project), Dr. Roberto Escarré (Director of the International Project Management Office, University of Alicante), along with professors and scholars from two European universities, Glasgow Caledonian University (Scotland) and Slovak University of Technology (Slovakia). In addition, the project also attracted the participation of domestic units such as Hue University, Can Tho University, Thai Nguyen University, etc.

The workshop was attended by Vietnamese and foreign experts.

At the Project closing ceremony, Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh contributed two research papers entitled: “Research and Innovation Block of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi” and “Promoting internationalization to enhance research capacity”. The two papers of Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh attracted the attention of delegates and received support from Vietnamese and international professors.

The Rector mentioned the importance of research, especially internationalization in research. Recently, the quantity and quality of international publications of the staff of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities, Hanoi has increased significantly. If in 2010, the number of international publications of the University was only 13 works, by 2016, this number had increased by nearly 4 times. Along with that, raising awareness of staff and lecturers in the University is promoted. In addition, the University develops a network of funds inside and outside the University to support the culture of "Publish or perish".
