Receive and work with Wanzai University (Taiwan)

Associate Professor, Dr. Pham Quang Minh said that the University of Social Sciences and Humanities is a leading university in training and research in the field of social sciences and humanities. The University currently has 16 faculties, 12 research centers with over 12,000 students and trainees of all levels and training systems. In 1995, the University established the Department of Chinese Studies under the Faculty of Oriental Studies and conducted training from bachelor to doctoral levels in Chinese studies. Recently, the University and Wanzao University of Foreign Studies established the Taiwan Education Center with the functions of Chinese language training programs, organizing Taiwan education exhibitions, promoting Taiwan study abroad consulting, organizing the Chinese proficiency test (TOCFL), conducting seminars, Vietnamese-Taiwanese language-cultural activities and acting as a focal point connecting universities and Taiwan, seeking scholarship programs of the Taiwanese government to create study abroad opportunities for Vietnamese students.

Dr. Hua Quy Oanh said that Van Tao University of Foreign Languages ​​highly values ​​the cooperative relationship between the two schools and agrees with the proposals to further expand the cooperative relationship between the two sides in the coming time. He proposed a number of cooperative activities such as student and lecturer exchanges, implementing 2+2, 3+1 training programs, teaching Vietnamese at Taiwanese universities, etc. In particular, in early March, the two sides plan to organize the "Vietnam-Taipei Education Forum" through the Taiwan Education Center. Through this, Dr. Hua Quy Oanh hopes that the Center will be a bridge between the two schools.

Wanzai University of Foreign Studies was established in 1966, headquartered in Kaohsiung City (Taiwan). The total number of students is 9,000. The school has a center for research and teaching Southeast Asian languages, and is the only university in Taiwan that has compiled Vietnamese language teaching textbooks.
