High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities pays tribute to teachers

At the meeting, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quang Lieu - Principal of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities could not hide his emotion when talking about the early days of the school's establishment, and at the same time expressed gratitude for the great contributions of scientists and managers who contributed to realizing the idea of ​​establishing a school specializing in the field of social sciences and humanities. Mr. Nguyen Quang Lieu expressed his deep gratitude to those who laid the first bricks to build the school and the teachers who are directly involved in teaching here.

During the meeting, Prof. Dr. Vu Duong Ninh (Chairman of the School's Former Teachers' Association) also sent warm wishes to the teachers and students of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities, and affirmed that the decisive factor in the school's development is the team of teachers and staff. The school has had solutions to select many experienced and dedicated teachers. With this investment, he hopes that the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities will create classes of excellent students, which will be a source of high-quality input for domestic and international universities.

Prof. Dr. People's Teacher Nguyen Quang Ngoc (former Head of the History Department, University of Social Sciences and Humanities, former Director of the Institute of Vietnamese Studies and Development Sciences, VNU) said that he was extremely moved when holding in his hands the Special Magazine celebrating Vietnamese Teachers' Day, November 20, of the School, reading the lines of literature and poetry composed by teachers and students. Prof. Dr. Pham Quang Minh - former Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities shared: November is always a very meaningful time for the teaching profession and teachers, an opportunity for society and students to demonstrate the tradition of respecting teachers. This month, the 206th session of the Executive Council of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), which just took place in France, approved the dossier to commemorate the 650th anniversary of the death of the famous Chu Van An. Thus, after Nguyen Trai, President Ho Chi Minh and Nguyen Du, Chu Van An is the 4th person to be honored by UNESCO. With pride and respect for a person who was a Principal at the Imperial Academy - the predecessor of Hanoi University - he believes that the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities - the youngest descendant of the Imperial Academy - will create generations of elites for the country.

Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Kim - former Party Secretary, Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities expressed his joy when seeing students having a space to study and develop at the University, and at the same time agreed with the development orientation that the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities is implementing. He hopes that the three main resources: teachers of the University, teachers and staff from the University of Social Sciences and Humanities and parents will work together to bring the best to students, so that they can develop comprehensively.

Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Thi Minh Hoa - Vice Principal of the University of Social Sciences and Humanities said that although the idea of ​​establishing the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities has existed for a long time, the process from idea to reality is a difficult one. From the perspective of a manager, she said that the School has, is and will always create favorable conditions to further accelerate the development process of the High School for Gifted Students in Social Sciences and Humanities. In particular, with her own experience and observations, she said that the more developed the country is, the more interested it is in the field of social sciences and humanities. Therefore, the path that the School is choosing will have a bright future because social sciences and humanities in Vietnam will develop more and more strongly. She expressed her trust in the teachers of the School, hoping that the teachers will promote their capacity and responsibility to impart knowledge, skills, and positive attitudes to students, so that they can develop comprehensively and become a generation of useful citizens for the country.

The ceremony was also delighted to welcome the presence of parents from the School's Parents' Representative Board. The parents said that after three months of observing their children's learning and activities, they have put their complete trust in the teachers and the School. The Parents' Committee wishes to accompany the School in educating their children and strive so that the first class will have worthy marks as the first class of students of the High School for the Gifted in Social Sciences and Humanities.
